9: disrespectful and pervert
FAITH
I brought Orion to the nearest fastfood from the dormitory. It felt weird walking with him and actually eating. He’s been mean to me all this time yet here I am, treating him dinner? What’s wrong with my head?
I watched him munched on his chicken thigh, making slow moans on his throat. I hope he doesn’t find the chicken aphrodisiac.
“Yes?” nakataas ang kilay na untag niya sa akin nang mapansin na panay sulyap ako sa kanya.
Mabilis akong umiling at nagpatuloy sa pagkain. Pero teka, is this the first time he tasted food like this? His deep moans is really bothering. Sunod-sunod na sumubo ako ng fries at iniwas ang tingin sa kanya. Now it’s his turn to stare at me like a piece of meat.
“Yes?” balik-tanong ko sa kanya.
There goes that toothy grin again. Bumaba sa kinakain ko ang tingin niya. I don’t know what to do so I continued eating my fries in a slow manner.
He sneered at me. “Some demons’ dicks in hell looks like that.” He pouted his lips to point on the fries.
I choked on my food.
How could he make everything so... so unbelievable! Laglag ang balikat na tumigil ako sa pagkain at tiningnan siya nang masama. “Pwede ba kumain ka na lamang at manahimik?”
He shook his head and resumed eating. “I can’t really shut up. Why do you think mouth was created aside from sucking dicks? ”
“You’re giving me a headache,” buntong-hininga ko. How could he turn everything into something offending and not worth listening?
“And I can ease that,” he said.
Or worsen it. How could he ease it kung siya ang dahilan niyon? Paano nga ulit ako napasok sa sitwasyon na 'to? Why can't he just go on his life and leave bothering mine?
“But seriously angel,” he reached out to get a fry in front of me. “This looks like a dick of demon. Yellow and failing.” Nilaro-laro niya sa kamay ang kawawang fry na nabali dahil nanlalambot na.
It’s impossible to react to this. Why is he not only mean but as well as disrespectful and pervert?
“Orion stop it, people may think we’re weird.”
Tumingin siya sa paligid. Dahil hindi pa nagsisimula ang klase sa university, hindi pa gaanong puno ang mga fastfood sa malapit. I’m sure when the classes start, mahihirapan na akong makahanap ng pwesto rito.
“You’re actually weird,” sagot niya at kinain ang fry.
“How so?”
“Everyone falls for my charm except you,” sabi niya at tiningnan ako nang matiim. “I’m sure there’s nothing special on you, you’re human and humans always fell for my charms. It's just illogical to think you're not affected, not even a little.” Ilang beses siyang napakurap at tila nag-isip. "Were you just pretending not to be captivated with my charms?"
I prevented myself to frown. His charms? It’s annoying.
“You’re not really charming,” sabi ko sa kanya.
He dropped his chicken as his mouth gaped open. “Bitch what? Do you want a proof?”
Before I could say no, itinaas niya ang kanang kamay at tinawag ang isang crew na nagmo-mop sa gilid. Mabilis itong lumapit sa amin at ngumiti.
“Hello sir, what can I do?” bati ng kalalapit lamang na crew.
Orion smiled. “I have a question since this girl in front of me claims otherwise, do you think I’m charming?”
Hindi ko alam kung namamalikmata lamang ba ako o sadyang namula talaga ang mukha ng crew. And did I mention he’s a guy? His eyes twinkled as he looked at Orion who’s still smiling at him.
“Of course sir!”
Orion turned to me, feeling proud. “I think I made my point.”
Seriously? Umiling ako sa kanya at napasimangot. “...because it would be rude if he says no.”
Orion slapped his forehead, stressed over my reply. “Alright, I’ll do this then.”
Hindi ko alam kung ano ang ibig niyang sabihin. Hinarap niya ang crew na tila nagniningning pa rin ang mga mata habang nakatingin sa kanya.
“What’s your name dude?” Orion asked.
“Arland,” sagot nito.
“Okay Arland, if you really find me charming, lick my butt.”
I dropped my jaw and utensils. He is out of his mind! I am so sure the guy Arland will land him a punch on the face or maybe walk away pero laking gulat ko nang tumango ito at lumapit kay Orion. His hands reached for his jean’s waistband and I panicked!
I know enough Orion would surely let him do it. He’s childish and immature and all sort of tacky attitude kaya bago pa man maibaba ni Arland ang kanyang katawan para sundin ang sinabi ni Orion ay mabilis akong tumalon sa direksyon nila. Hinila ko si Orion sa tabi ko at naiilang na ngumiti kay Arland.
“Uh, sorry... He’s... he’s just... having a hard time lately,” bahagya akong yumuko at humingi ng paumanhin. I calmly asked him to resume his job at ngumiti siya kay Orion.
He is obviously not listening to me!
Pinanlakihan ko ng mata si Orion at mukhang naintindihan naman niya iyon.
“Okay Arland, that’s cool. Pwede ka ng bumalik doon.” Lumapit pa siya dito at tinapik ito sa balikat bago kinindatan.
The guy followed his command like an obedient little puppy samantalang hindi ko maalis-alis ang masamang tingin kay Orion. People from the other tables glanced at our direction and wondered what was going on.
Napasinghap ako at umupo. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Ayaw mo kasing maniwala,” he answered with sass and resumed eating. Kinuha pa niya ang ulam ko at pati iyon ay kinain.
“Are you gay?”
“What?” nanlalaki ang mga matang tanong niya.
I gently shrug. “Why would you let him lick your butt?”
His eyes seared into mine. “To prove my point. And no, I’m not letting him lick my butt, I only know the best for my B’s— balls and butt. Just wanna make you see the point. Now, naniniwala ka na ba na malakas ang charms ko?”
He went all the trouble and embarrassment just to prove that. Dahil sa ginawa niya ay mas lalong hindi ako naniniwala na malakas ang charms niya. He’s overall rude and disgusting, that’s it.
“Or hey angel, want me to lick yours?” nakangising tanong niya.
Now I really don’t have appetite for anything. Kinuha ko ang wallet at cellphone bago tumayo. “I’m leaving.”
“Pero hindi pa ako tapos—”
“Edi magpatuloy ka at umuwi na kung saan ka man uuwi.”
He nodded and continued eating. “Okay, see you later then?”
Napatigil ako sa tangkang paghakbang. “Ha?”
He had that grin again at bago pa ako maasar o ano ay mabilis na umalis na lamang ako roon at bumalik sa dorm.
