Cold. Stone cold. Numb fingers brush against me, hot breath brushes against my neck. Cold. Fingertips against my cheek and a poke at my hip. Hard. I move away from the feeling, from the cold, everything. It fights back. It holds me in place. physically, and emotionally. I'm trapped. I can't breath. I can't move. Someone help me. Help me.
Flashback~~~
I held my hot cup of coffee up to my flushed cheeks while fluttering my eyelashes at David. We were in a cafe in my hometown, we came to visit my parents during the festive season and decided to take a break to try and recharge before getting back on the road. We thought it would be fun to go see the festival of lights but there was another reason.
I sighed into my cup, a frown pulling at my face as I remembered why I was so anxious to come. David hadn't met my parents yet, and well... lets say they aren't the most friendliest of people. Actually that's a complete understatement. They're total monsters. They hate anyone who I've ever dated no matter how kind they are, they don't think they're worth my time.
"So when should we start heading?"
I flinched at the question, no, the very thought of seeing my parents again. It had been years since I'd last seen them, mainly because of the toxic atmosphere their house held. Some tough stuff has happened in that house, I'm not ecstatic to be back but oh well, it might be fun. Might.
Time Skip
Slamming the car door, I grabbed my bag and headed to the front door of the breath taking mansion, walls ghost white and a garden that put public parks to shame. Hand in hand, we stepped up from the driveway onto the walkway. I felt fear start to build in the bottom of my stomach, the realisation that my parent are about to meet the love of my life setting in. I felt a reassuring squeeze on my hand, my nerves easing up a little. I felt how my breath left my throat as I stood in front of the menacing door; jet black even with the sun beaming down apon it. Squeezing Davids hand, I gave the door a sharp bash and waited for the gates to hell to open.
Flash Forward~~~
I felt my arms being pinned above my head, the rope embedding into my wrists, a whisper muttering in my ear, broken plans never finishing. Alone with my thoughts was the worst part of this, the thought of how I could of gotten away, how I could of stayed with him lingers in my mind. Alone again.
