Chapter 2: The new teacher

It's 3rd period and I head to science class. I sit at my desk, but instead of seeing Mrs. Fern, there is a someone new here. A woman, who looks like she's in her mid twenties, is sitting Mrs. Fern's desk. She has short, wavy midnight blue-ish hair. Raspberry lip gloss coloured her lips, and she has pretty sky blue eyes.

"Hello Class, my name Mrs. Rayne. Mrs Fern decided that she needed to step out of the teaching stage, and explore new things in her life. She also has other uhh... problems, that is personal." Mrs. Rayne hesitated.

Hmm, that was weird. It's like she was hiding something...
Everyone starts whispering in the class : "Meh I never really liked Mrs. Fern" "But it's a shame she left, she was very Eco-Friendly" " Does my thumb smell like cheese?" " I wonder how the new teacher is gonna be like" "She seems nice, though Mrs. Fern was so kind to us" " Ha I never really paid attention to her, but who do I pay attention to?" " She was kinda strict sometimes"

*BOOM! CRASH! KA-BOOMBOOM* Thunder crashed, or so I thought. Everyone suddenly mute, like putting the mute button on a remote control, for a really loud TV. We all looked to see what damage happened, but the class looked perfectly normal, and there was no rain outside.

"Haha, fooled ya! I guess that new app really works!" Said Mrs. Rayne happily. "Now that I have got your attention, lets get started. We already missed almost 10 minutes of class.
Today we are gonna learn the form of rain, and how it can change the world.
You all probably are thinking, ugh we already know how it's formed in clouds and yadayada, but what's the true meaning of rain? Why do have it an need it? Because some simple things in life, like rain and sun, can become something that will help you change your life." She continued. "There are possibilities and power beyond your knowledge and imagination."

She's really knows how to hook you in, I thought. Wait I forgot to tell the gang about my "power". I wrote a note to Zoey.

I have something
To tell you at lunch
Meet me at our usual table
Pass it on to the rest -you know what I mean

" We will continue our discussion next lesson. Get ready for lunch now. Bye!"she smiled as we headed out the door.

*rrrriiiinnnggg* the gang and I sat at our usual table in the cafeteria.

"So how was your birthday? Awesome? I bet it was, cause you had all of us!" Zoey said. I roll my eyes and laugh.

"So Fate what didya wanna tell us?"asked Max.

"Uh... I have the powers t-to see visions o-of the...future." I stammered. I wonder how they'll take this. Silence.
"HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA!!"

I bite into my delicious turkey sandwich mom made. I brush my wavy golden blonde hair out of my face.

"You're kidding." Said Joey.
I don't answer. Am I ? Is this all true what my mom said? Was it a dream? I see my locket, I remember everything. What if it is true?
"You're not kidding."*

"It's unbelievable to me too, but it's true."I confessed." It's a gift and a curse. My locket holds the power and I posses that power when I come of age. And that's 13."

"That must've been yesterday!" Exclaimed Kate.

"Yes." I say. Now it gets awkward. I try to break the silence.
"Ahem, uh, so guys what do you think of the new teacher?"

"She's pretty cool. I gotta get that app! Mean old Mr. Smiths won't be getting out of the house for the whole day when he finds out that there's a "storm" coming. Haha!" Said Joey. He's the tech and video gamer in our group.

"Hey guys, I know this is off topic, but remember when we were in 5th grade, and Joey's hair was long, yet Zoey was the one who got a haircut?" Said Max.
Oh my gosh! I remember this! This story makes me laugh all the time and never gets old.

"I remember that like it was only yesterday; the teacher actually mixed you up! You were wearing matching outfits, too." Laughed Kate. She was tying her long, wavy auburn hair in a ponytail. She's the smarty sciency type in our group.

"Oh god that was embarrassing! When I went to the washroom a girl asked me 'aren't you supposed to be in the boys washroom?'" Said Zoey, holding back her laugh.

"Hahaha! Are you serious?!" I laughed really hard. I really do remember it like it was only yesterday! We call it the twincident.

We laughed a lot. We always do stuff together. Good or bad, we always got each others backs. That's why I love my friends.

"Oh guys, I'm just reeling us back in the Mrs. Rayne topic. I found her kind of suspicious. " I said.

"How come?" Max asked.

"When she nervously and suspiciously said that Mrs. Fern had problems."

"Fate, she not that old she doesn't have knee problems!"

"But Fate did make a point, Max." Said Kate, in a serious tone. "She looks a lot like Mrs. Fern, by the way. They had the exact same faces, yet different eye colour."

"But she does have a great taste in clothing I notice." Said Zoey. All of us looked at her. "No? Not the time? Okay... Continue!"

"You're right! You did make a point. But in the meantime we have other problems, right Fate?" Asked Joey.
I cough nervously. Fortunately the bell saves me. Time for biology class. Phew. But Joey was right, I have to talk more about my power. But now I have to go.

Authors note: So I have I few things to say. No. 1: So so so so (x infinity and beyond) sorry! Why? I think it's obvious! For not posting or updating in A LONG TIME! But just because I'm not posting or updating, it doesn't mean I'm not watching. I'm always watching. If you unfollow I understand. But I'm having more inspiration.
No. 2: I'm having Disney and a little other movie references. Like * (the star thingy) was meant for the Epic reference. If you remember that, comment a smiley face! The main reference was from a Disney Channel show "That's So Raven".
