It's a normal boring day for y/n. Doing patrols was nothing anyone wanted, but someone had to do it and y/n was always up for some extra rewards, even if the patrols was so boring. All her friends wanted her to join their activities, but y/n didn't really feel like doing anything than completing her patrols.

A few weeks ago she met with the hunter vanguard Cayde-6. They had started to get a good connection as good friends, but recently she had felt a stronger connection. He's very funny and every time she was around him she felt safe and secure. Nothing was ever boring with him around. He even made her question if her feelings for him was real or not.

"I want to see him..." y/n said with a low voice, almost in a whisper.

Being on a patrol mission on Titan was so boring. When everything finally was finished and she could go back to the traveler, her heart skipped a beat and it felt like butterflies in her belly thinking about the Exo man.

"Oh come on... Don't think like that. He doesn't feel the same." y/n tried to tell herself.

-time skip-

Back at the tower, y/n headed down to the hangar to see Cayde. When arriving he was talking with some other guardians. When noticing y/n's presence, he quickly told the other guardians that he needed a moment.

Y/n didn't really blush around anyone that made her feel special, but Cayde made it hard to hide the pink shade on her cheeks. When noticing it, he went in for a hug.

"Ah my favorite girl." he said. "You don't look so well. You okay? Need another hug?"

Y/n didn't move.

"No hugs? Oh okay, but are you okay?" he sounded worried.

"I'm... Fine, thank you... I need you to give me a proper answer." y/n took out a blank paper from her bag as her heart began to race.

"What am I looking at? A paper? A blank paper?" he titled his head confused.

"Nothing." she said, trying to not look or sound all to nervous. "I just want you to tell me something, but don't say it right away."

Clenching her fists she told him she liked him, a lot. He looked so confused, he wasn't even sure how to reply and when he was about to say something, y/n stopped him.

"I told you, don't tell me right away. Write it down and send it to the post master. I'll cheek with her later."

-3 hours later-

Y/n was back at the tower after some more patrol missions, but this time on EDZ. When checking with the post master, she did have a message from Cayde.

Taking the paper to read, she felt nervous and wasn't sure if she wanted to read it. With a  deep sigh she opened and started to read.

"Meet me at the hanger tonight. // Cayde."

"That's all?" she was a bit disappointed, but she wanted to know why he wanted to met at night.

- Midnight - (sorry for speeding up the time so muuch)

Y/n made her way down to the hangar, waiting around Cayde's normal station, for his arrival. Soon he came up behind, hugging her.

"You came." he said excited.

"Why are you so excited?"

"You came, and I brought ramen. Come." he showed her to a hidden spot where you could see the stars clearly.

Y/n dropped her jaw when she saw the beautiful sky filled with so many different colors. She did see a lot of things on her travels, but she never had time to watch the sky as she was always in battle or did patrols or other things.

"This is..."

"Beautiful, isn't it?" he said, looking at it.

"About the letter..." Y/n began.

"I like you too, don't worry."

"N-no, it's not that. I don't like you as a frie-."

"You talk way too much y/n." Cayde said leaning in, closer to her. "If I had lips like a human I'd kiss you right now. You're special, my special girl."

The rest of the night was spent talking, without looking at each other and eating the ramen Cayde had brought with him, which was good, y/n was starving.

Ah well... Sorry, my brain isn't working :)

I suck at writing, but I'm trying my best (coming back from like 1-2 years? Dunno)
Also... the timeline here will go from the end of red war until (maybe) forsaken.

If this get a good rating or whatever, I might continue... aye

(sorry if Cayde isn't in *Character* as in game, I'm trying my best! I just want a cute story ((which I can't even write)) lol... I also did this way too early in the morning without any sleep...yeah...  I'll just head to bed now, yes...)
