Walking down Main Street, it was a beautiful, hot summer's day in Dallas, your hometown, but you needed your caffeine fix, you were 5 minutes away from the local Starbucks you usually got your morning coffee from, Holly said she'd meet you there before you both needed to head to the office.

You and Holly were best friends since Pre-K. You were an Accounts Executive PR Specialist, at one of the top Agencies in Dallas, Holly had been between jobs and when an Administrator position came up you forwarded her resume to HR, put in a good word and she got the position. She's been there for a year now, while you've been there for 9 years, trying to get away from a past that broke you, at 16, well you thought you were healed when you met Jake that turned out to be short lived.

FLASHBACK 1998

Y/N: "Jensen we planned on staying in Texas." You sobbed. "I can't lose out on this opportunity Y/N. Babe, you can come to LA, I promise you we will still be together like always, I need to do this." Jensen said, rubbing your arms. "I can't, I have school and you know I plan on going to Aggies." you said.
Jensen sighed, he knew what they had was super special there were always talks between their parents that they would be married one day, at all the family bbqs and get togethers, and here he was breaking her heart by announcing he was leaving for the West Coast in 2 weeks to pursue acting, that was a week ago.
Y/N sat in her room feeling like her heart was being ripped out of her chest, feelings of emptiness, numbness...how could he be doing this she thought. Her phone dinged and she saw a text from Holly.

Holly: Hey, wanna hang? Maybe go to the Arboretum and Gardens? Need some inspiration anyway on my new piece I'm working on.
Y/N: I don't think I'd be good company.
Holly: Oh come on, you need to get out, screw Jensen. He's an ass. My mom gave me the keys to the Jeep, be there in 10.

Y/N looked at herself in the mirror, her hair was a mess, she decided to wash her face pull her Y/H/C hair into a ponytail, put on some sneakers and just grab a sweater.

She barely heard her Mom speaking to Holly downstairs. Then her bedroom door flew open "Let's go." Holly said looking over at Y/N and she could see she was a mess, she didn't realise just how terribly sad her friend was, she planned on changing that. They drove to the Arboretum and took in all the beauty. Holly tried to cheer her friend up, that evening when she was lying in her bed, she looked at the photo she had of her and Jensen on her nightstand, Y/N decided there was nothing she could do, he was leaving soon there was nothing she could do to stop him, She thought about that note her Mom left her on her desk after she found out Jensen was leaving Texas.....saying,

My dearest daughter,

I know you are hurting but I want to leave you with these wise words...

If you love something, set it free, if it returns, it was meant to be, if it continues to fly let it soar, and have faith that God has something better in store.

END OF FLASHBACK PART 1

Y/N and Holly grabbed their coffees and were in the elevator to the office, as they got out Y/N's PA, Nina followed her into her office "Y/N, Mr. Drummond has summoned you to Boardroom 2"
Y/N sighed "What does he need me for?" Nina raised her eyebrows and her shoulders "Beats me, but you are his top exec" Y/N took a deep breath and said, "Ok, please update the Goldfields Account, I have emailed you all logistics,also arrange a meeting with Mr. Smith for whenever I have a space available tomorrow. "Y/N said leaving her office for Boardroom 2.

As she stepped into the Boardroom she stopped dead in her tracks, no it couldn't be, could it? She thought. Sitting sideways towards the door ,her heart nearly stopped. her boss looked up and said "Ah, Y/N, you finally decided to grace us with your presence, this here is Mr. Ackles and his publicist Ms. Clinton"

Y/N swallowed hard, not knowing how to respond she gave a slight smile and stood there in shock. Jensen got up, thinking it was just his southern hospitality, her boss smiled.
