Park Day

AFTER SCHOOL
ROSE'S POV
I pick up my bag and shove my books inside. Outside of school I saw Kim, Jack J. and Matt all standing alone. I'd go with Kim but I'm not really in the mood. Matt, well imma see him later anyways so I guess I'll go with Jack J.
"Hey babe," he said wrapping his arming around me and pecking me on the lips. "Hey," I sorta whisper.
"What shall we do this afternoon. We can eat? I'm starving how about you?" He pokes my stomach. "No, not really. Listen babe," I start and I don't wanna finish,"I'm hanging out with Matt today. Maybe tomorrow?" He removes his hand from my waist,"Yeah, sure. See you tomorrow." Then he walks away.
I look back to where Matt was standing but don't see him there. I was about to turn around until someone covered my eyes with their hands. "Hmmm," I said."Is it....a person?" "Uh, uh." The voice responded that was totally not a female voice. "Oh my mistake. It's a dinosaur?" "Yes," Matt removed his hands from my eyes and I turned around. "Let's go. Shall we?" Matt held his arm out and I giggled and took it,"We shall."
On the way there I was scrolling through his music on his phone. "So many different songs on here."
"Plug in the auxiliary cord and chose one you like." he said passing me the cord. I laughed to see he had "Shower" in his top rated playlist. I chose that song to see what his reaction would be. "Man. You chose my most favorite song ever!" he smiled.
"You can't be serious?" I said
"I can actually. But maybe I'm not."
Ugh. I hate when he does that because he knows what I mean but I love it at the same time because it's hilarious. I started humming along to the song and I think he noticed because this happened. "LADADELADADALADADAAAA! SINGING IN DA SHOWAA!" I started laughing so much tears came down my face then he joined but without the tears. "We're here," he said parking the car. "Swings?" I asked. "Whatever you want." he said.
We hopped onto the swings and started swinging. "Who do you think can go higher?" he asked with a smirk. "Definitely not you." I said. Only because I knew Matt was the competitive type. I started swinging faster but he wasn't even trying,"What's wrong Matt? Already know you're gonna lose?" he chuckled then stopped is swing and stood in front of my swing. "Ever since we met you never wanted to jump off the swing. So today will be the day you do."
"What? No, you're crazy if you think I'm doing that," I said while I stopped swinging my legs so I can slow down. "No!" he shouted running behind me and started pushing me again. "Matt!"
After I was swinging pretty high he ran in front of me again. "Jump," he said holding his arms out."I'll catch you."
"No!" I shouted back. "Come on Rose! It's not like this is gonna last forever. Just a minute."
"Ugh. Why do you have to be so convincing?"
"Ok. Ready?" he ask.
"No."
"Jump!" he shouted. After I didn't jump he shouted,"You didn't jump!"
"No shit." I said back."Ok this time I will. Just count to 3."
"Ok," he said."One, two,jump!"
I jumped this time. I hesitated, but I still jumped.
MATT'S POV
I finally got her to jump off the swings. When I caught her I fell on my back with her on top of me and she was just laughing. "Rose," I said. "Y-yeah?" she asked still laughing. "Why do you wear makeup?" I asked hoping she'd settle down which she did.
"What?" she said looking me in the eyes.
"You heard me. You're so god damn beautiful I don't understand why you wear it. You honestly don't need it." Then I noticed her blushing. I grabbed the back of her head then pulled her towards me and started kissing her. She kissed back but then pulled away. "What's wrong?" I asked as she got off me. "I thought you liked me?"
"I do," she said,"But-"
I finished her sentence for her,"Jack J."
She didn't answer she just looked down. "Did you guys actually have it?"
"Yeah. Ma-"
"No. Just get in the car I'll take you home."
