I closed my eyes, as I made my decision. Time seemingly standing still. Sweat rolled off me like a heavy rain pouring down on me, running down my face too scared to wipe it away. Every nerve in my body was stinging in fear. I could hear my own heart beating out of my chest in my ears. Suddenly, I lunge forward, my right leg tensing as I jump. My crush sitting helplessly at gunpoint, I brought my hands forward as I lunged trying to push the barrel of the gun out of mine and her way. In a flash, the bullet was fired and I could feel the bullet dig straight through my ribs, I heard pops as I felt my ribs breaking and piercing into my heart. My body burned with what felt like white fire, as I land on the ground. Every part of me ached in pain, as I let out the most blood-curdling scream, only to be muffled by the immense pain. There was a loud ringing in my ears, but I could feel the vibrations of the man's head pounding into the ground next to me. I was breathing heavily as my vision went from white tile to soaking dark red. As the ringing in my ears stopped, I could hear her screams. And as my vision glossed over, and was fading, her screams were the last that I heard. I thought I was dead. I blacked out.
