Do you know?

Do you actually realise?

You can't see someone speak.

Yes, you can see their mouths open.

You can see them form o's and a's with it.

You can easily figure out what it is that they're doing,

but you have no proof at all.

You can't prove it to yourself, and that's what makes me insecure.

What if everything is simply an illusion?

What if sound has been an illusion all the time I thought I could still hear?

Have I actually heard anything at all?!

Or is it all simply an illusion,

and does no one really hear, see, taste, smell, feel?

Because maybe the birds flying through the trees have never sung the wonderful melodies you thought they did.
