This story is based on a war between three kingdoms: Aqua, Angeloids and Dark kingdoms respectively:
Aqua kingdom is in the water, their people are mermans and mermaids. Leo is the prince of this kingdom.
Angeloid Kingdom in in the air, their people are angels. Selion is the princess of this kingdom.
Dark kingdom is in the Northen Mountains, their people are Bloodtherins or Demons. Jonathan is the prince of this kingdom.
