Creation of the Realm II

And so they did.

They flew down to the dark lands below. So empty. So barren. That was about to change. Here and there they went, flying and creating. Where dark lands once were, green forests and plains replaced. The once horrid mountains became monuments of splendour, and the wide under-plains became the playthings of Tritohn, and there he flew around laughing as he made the Seas. Belv and Ardus created the first Volcano, which they named Asurdon. Anarreth with his wife Malarin created the Sun, the Moon and the Stars.

And thus the Realm was made.

However, deep under the Realm rested a Darkness. It had no name, it had no true form, it was simply the Shadow. And it was angered by the joy that the Veyunnah had created, but it was patient. It too had the power to create, but all it created was Evil.

It secretly rose to the surface where the Veyunnah could not see it, and it moved to the most dangerous region, the South. He called it Hellordwaith, and there he created his place of Darkness. He made the mountain ranges as his walls, he darkened the ground and everything around him became that of the Shadow. And he felt a bestial hunger inside, to corrupt everything that could be seen. But that was his downfall, for such an emotion could be sensed by great Powers.

Thus Anarreth sensed it, and he informed his fellow Veyunnah. And immediately faced the Shadow in the South, they battled and fought for a very long time, till the Shadow once again retreated beneath the surface. Very deep it was, that no Dwarf later could mine there. And no one could sense it's Evil unless he willed it.

Anarreth immediately told his fellow Veyunnah to return to his Palace, and there they discussed a way to stop the Shadow, for they themselves knew that it would return and they could not defeat it. For some unknown power stopped them from changing that which was moved by the Darkness first. They could only restore that which the Darkness took.

Thus the Veyunnah discussed of the Awakening of Life.

Each Veyunnah had their own ideas on what to create, so Anarreth told them to create what they willed. And after a long time, the Veyunnah presented to each other their creations: Dwarf, Human, Elf. These three were the Firstborns, and the first races to walk the Realm. Then the Veyunnah created animals and taught the Firstborn how to survive.

They then returned to Veleyun to create more.

The Evil however had sensed this creations; and he himself had created the Orcs and the Daemons. But the Veyunnah knew not, for the Evil kept them beneath the Realm itself. And it planned so very long, and it decided to send forth his army at a later date.

Thus the Realm was created; and thus it's inhabitants too were formed.
