Bug like humanoids, protected only by their carapace, surround a single battered human in a gray, well lit, hallway. The bugs carry weapons that vaguely resemble firearms and swords. The one Caucasian male stands their wearing a damaged in every possible way United States Army uniform. His patch is that of the 2nd volunteer brigade, by the two upward arrows on his shoulder he is a Corporal. His M-4 carbine is bent from being used as a club and is still ready to be swung, his magazine pouches filled with empty magazines, and his knife broken off at the hilt.

"what are ya bastards waiting for!" The human roars. The Bugs don't even flinch they just stand ready to intercept him.

Then the encirclement opens up allowing a path for a slightly larger bug man to approach. The larger bug carries two swords both odd in design, but similar to that of a long sword. The bug throws a sword at the feet of the human. The large bug makes chattering noises with his mandibles and points at the human. The bug takes a stance ready to fight. The human drops his rifle and picks up the oddly formed weapon, takes a few practice swings with it. in those few swings its obvious to the bugs this human is quite familiar with the use of bladed weapons.

"I'm Lance Corporal Gawain O'Connell," The human says pointing the sword toward the large bug.

"Ick sahg Makrack torka ohsah" The creature growled out.

Gawain and the bug let out roars of battle and charge. The duo's blades sung through the air several times bouncing off of one another's, their eyes never losing sight of their foe's. The bug parries off a blow and goes for a thrust, which is parried, not by the sword of Gawain but by the palm of his hand. If a look of surprise was ever to have crossed the bug's countenance it was now. Gawain's blade slams into the side of the bug's neck. Gawain steps around the bug, without turning to face it, and without moving the sword decapitates the bug. All the bugs step back in horror at the turn of events.

"Who's next" Gawain asks pointing his sword around. A bug, this one completely blue, step forward holding a similar blade.

"Terran, you have won your duel, do you wish to retire for now or begin your next" the blue creature asks pressing a button on his shoulder.

"Bring it you bastard".

The blue bug vanishes from sight and the bite of steel against Gawain's arm surprises him. He manages to leap backwards. He looks at his arm seeing its only a light cut looks to his opponent.

"This will be easy" the creature says vanishing again. Gawain closes his eyes and listens; his ears twitch and he side steps. He opens his eyes seeing his opponent having missed a thrust clearly meant for Gawain's heart. Gawain brings his sword down upon the blue bug's shoulder. The blue bug in surprise drops his sword.

"Easy huh" Gawain says taunting.

The bug places its working hand upon Gawain's face.

"You have won, I give all unto you" the blue bug says. Blue light passes from the hand onto Gawain's skin. Gawain screams in agony dropping his sword. Before he could even resist he dropped onto the ground unconscious. The bug lay atop him lifelessly. The remaining bugs drag Gawain to a pod and hit the launch button.
