There was once a farmer girl named Solace. She was orphaned from a young age. She was raised by her godmother in a small farm on top a hill. Their lives were peaceful as each day was dedicated to tending to their livestock and selling produce to the neighbouring market.

One day, Solace's grandmother fell ill. This made life more challenging in the farm. Solace had to learn a new trade to make ends meet. She finally decided to be a bard. It was unusual to be a female bard as people associate it as a man's occupation. But it was the fastest way she could afford medicine to treat her ailing grandmother.

With a worn-out lute she found in the cupboards, she set off to the nearest town to ply her trade. On the way to the town. Solace met a worrying sight. An elderly man was being harassed by street thugs. Remembering her poor grandmother, she bravely jumped in the commotion and stopped the hoodlums from harassing the old man.

As a token of thanks, he decided to give Solace a gift. Unbeknownst to Solace, the man was one of the kingdom's most prized bard. He had spent the remainder of his life seeking a person of pure heart to bestow a most prized treasure: the lute of peace.

According to legend, the lute was able to extract what was in the heart of the wielder and distill it into pure musical form. The old man had dedicated to a life of travelling to countryside to help villagers in need. As gratitude for helping him, the old man had promised to take care of Solace's ailing grandmother while she sets out to the village with her magical lute.

Upon arriving to the town, Solace was astounded at the sight of the bustling streets. She was sure nobody could hear her amidst the crowd. But with a single strum of her lute, everything went silent. A beautiful melody poured from the lute and flowed into the town. It had seemed that the lives of those who listened were somehow touched. It was a song of gratitude to those who took care of us. And a promise to cherish them in their old age. Through the beautiful, ancient song, life in the town was rejuvenated and the people poured their support for the young Solace.

After much celebration, Solace had returned to her village bearing gifts from the townspeople. She greeted her grandmother with a warm embrace. And all is well once more in the farm on top the hill.

The end.
