If there was one thing I hated about New York it was the roaches. I sat still on my bed as I watched the critter slowly and casually climb up the wall. I could have killed him easily, but I would have damaged my room just like last time. I just didn't like roaches. They are just so big and disgusting. It makes my skin crawl and my appetite to get something to eat die. I found a magazine on my dresser and I rolled it up to squish the bug. I held the magazine up and waited for the perfect time and then slammed him.

"Gotcha bugger", I said confidently.

I lift the magazine just to see the roach alive to fly towards me.

"OH SHIT", I yelled as I tumbled over my shoes on the ground and accidentally grabbing my lamp to fall on top of me as I fell to the ground.

"JACK, ARE YOU OKAY UP THERE", a voice coming from downstairs yelling up to me said.

"YEAH MOM", I yelled back as a hint of not to come upstairs to see what happened. I looked at the roach on the ceiling and I felt like I was giving him a death stare. I aimed my hand up at the bug and a jolt of electricity came out and zapped the bug.

"I guess you can say you've been, TERMINATED, haha oh kill me now", I said in a serious tone. Now you are probably wondering what I just did and how I react to it to be normal. Well, I ain't no history teacher, but forty years ago a meteor hit and I guess sent some power surge giving everyone a powerful ability. Long story short everyone uses their powers in their daily lives. I still don't buy the fact a meteor hit the Earth and did nothing, but hey I'm just a kid, fuck do I know.

Anyway, my name is Jackem Ross, a 16-year-old boy with fuzzy black hair, black eyes, and I guess I'm always serious about something even though I try to make a joke here and there. I'm just getting ready for school at BayBell High and I hate it. At my school, everyone has normal powers except me. I have tier powers. Tier powers allow me to change my form to get even stronger even though I can hardly control changing into tier two. An average tier has about ten forms and those people are usually heroes. That Means people at my school bother me too much and it's annoying. I only know six heroes that use tier powers and they are literally the strongest people in the world. They were a team called One Hope. They are kind of a big deal if you ask me. We have Depth who has the power of speed, and Jenna who has the ability of lightning and Emma, Jean, Ultra, and their leader, the all-mighty Alpha. Most people call him the guardian of life since that is his ability.

My ability is weird. I have three abilities in one kit. One of my abilities is code. Code allows me to know about someone's life instantly, kind of like hacking. However, I only use this to learn someone's ability. Another one is pixels. I can use pixels to form almost anything as long as it's not lethal or alive. Last is the ability you saw. It's called negative electricity. It's much stronger than regular electricity even though Jenna could probably still kick my ass if we fought. But, it allows me to move faster and hit harder.

Well, that's enough story time I got to go to school. I can't miss another class of Spanish anymore or my grades will kill me. I came out of my room to go downstairs to see my family. As soon as I get down the stairs, my sister is already giving me the death stare. Probably the same stare I was giving the roach. My sister's name is Reyomi. She's kind of short despite her age. She's 17 and 5'4. Sad to be honest, but I don't judge short people. Well that one time, but no more. She has long straight black hair and blue eyes. She was wearing blue jeans and a jean jacket over her white shirt with white vans on her feet.

"Hey look I'm sorry I was late again can you forgive me instead of traumatizing me", I said in a begging and apologetic manner. My sister had this ability called terrify which allows her to make people see there worst fear. Imagine the Teletubbies all gathering around you to try and hug you.

"You are so lucky mom is here right now", She said angrily. Reyomi was a very successful student and almost never fails test or classes. I see her as my role model because of that, even though she can be scary at times. I see her as the bold and serious type girl even though she is also nice at rare times. She's my favorite person because she would always protect me when We were younger and I didn't understand how to use my powers. She always has my back.

"Did mom make breakfast?", I asked her calmly.

"NOPE", she said anxiously grabbing me out of the house and closing and locking the door behind her.

"We have to go NOW", she told me firmly looking up to me. I just nodded shook my head. I'm honestly scared of this short person.

"If you are thinking of me and my height I will make your life a living hell", she told me devilishly.

"I'M SORRY I WON'T DO IT AGAIN", I yelled in fear putting my palms over my eyes so I don't get caught in her glimpse.

"Alright let's go", she said coldly.

"Yes master", I said calmly bowing down.

"Shut up", she replied quickly. We quietly walked all the way to school. In this school, I only have one real friend. His name is Trivy Foid. He's quite a cool guy once you MEET him. Literally. As soon as you meet him he manages to make you laugh or just crack a smile. His ability was energy and he's very strong in my opinion.

"HEY EDGY DEMON AND DEKU IN A NUTSHELL WAIT FOR ME", we heard a boy's voice from behind us. We turned around and speak of the devil, it was Trivy. Trivy was 16 and had blond pointy hair and green eyes. He wore brown pants and a blue vest on top of his light blue button shirt. When he got to us he was gasping for breath.

"Jack wh...what's up", he said huffing.

"I'm good Triv, what happened?", I asked him as we all continued walking to school.

"Bro, there is this new hot girl in our class and I think I have a chance with her", he said confidently.

"Every girl you liked rejected you Trivy, what makes you think this one will?", Reyomi stated.

"Well, I'm sorry someone has been asked out on a date yet, but don't worry Rey one day", Trivy teased.

" WHAT DID YOU SAY!", Reyomi said angrily.

"Uhh, LOOK YOUR MOM", Trivy yelled and point behind her. We both looked and there was no one. As soon as we turned around Trivy was running toward the school and Rey chased after him immediately.

"HEY JACK, THE GIRL'S NAME IS KATE, TELL HER ABOUT ME", he yelled to me as he was running from his sorry fate. Kate... why do I have a bad feeling about that name.
