Imperfect (Spider-Man x Reader)

Chapter 1

A/N: Keep in mind, spider man is now 19 in this story. Also, for any extra information go to the description to find info on the whole Y/N things and what each team consists of.

I stand on the cliff's edge feeling the wind blow through my H/L hair. It's been almost 5 years since the battle we had. I still think what would have been different if Lucas had still been here. I genuinely miss him. He was the father I never had.

Third POV

The sound of explosions and gunshots are what filled the area. Y/N ran behind a wall for protection. She tried to fight one of the enemies, but one person turned into five different people attacking her at once. Just then, a man had his gun pointed at her side.

"Nowhere to run now missy," the man cooed. Y/N put on a smug grin as she thought of the perfect plan.

"Then I guess I'll have to make you run." Y/N used her knife and stabbed at the man's arm. The man yelled in pain as he dropped the handgun. Y/N picked it up and aimed at the man.

"Nowhere to run now mister." She shot the man in the head and ran off. Meanwhile, Rayla was slicing at every person who tried to stop her from getting to her allies. She picked up every member of her team and carried them to safety, before running off to help others. She heard a scream from behind her and instantly recognized the voice. It was Y/N. Rayla turned around swiftly and saw Y/N getting held by three people, one man holding her arms back, another holding hero feet, and the last one punching her repeatedly. Rayla filled with rage and tackled the man punching at Y/N. She locked him by the neck and snapped it with ease. Y/N was released as the two men had tried to attack Rayla. Y/N used what strength she had left and threw her knife into one of the men's necks. Rayla dodged the other man's attack to attend to Y/N. She gave her a gun and the two shot at the man. Rayla carried Y/N until she was stopped by another group of men.

"Y/N RUN! GO ON WITHOUT ME!," she yelled. Y/N hesitantly ran to safety, but not before hearing a loud shriek come from Rayla. Lucas must have heard it, because he was storming through the crowd. He was punching, shooting, slashing at everyone he saw around Rayla. He saw she had a large gash on her right eye.  Before he could try and take her to where Y/N was at, someone had shot at him. Rayla watched in horror as the man who was her father die in her arms. Y/N raced over to help Rayla, but she too was struck with a wave of emotion seeing Lucas there.

"I knew that I had to go one day." Lucas grabbed both the girls by one hand. "This team still needs a leader though. I seem to be stuck in a decision of which one of you should take that title. Then I thought of how even more successful we would be if both of you took over. Wouldn't that be great idea?"

"Y..you can't go. We need you and it's going to be hard if-" Rayla was cut off by Lucas.

"You and Y/N are the strongest, kindest, and most talented daughters I never had." He brought the two girls into a hug. "Now go make your father proud." He pulled out a  grenade and ushered the two girls to run. Y/N helped Rayla stand and the pair ran where everyone else was. They ushered everyone away from the coming explosion.

    Rayla and Y/N led everyone through the underground tunnels that were built for emergency escapes. Y/N consoled Rayla after their loss.

"Hey, don't worry. He did for us and our team. This team, it's home, it's family." Rayla wiped a tear from her uninjured eye. She gave a soft smile.

"I know, and he said that we are in charge now," she chuckled. Y/N smiled. "At least I know his love was true."

"His love will always be true, even after today." Y/N hugged Rayla and the two shared a warm sister hug.  Rayla stopped everyone and informed them the news of Lucas's passing, and informed that they would be headed towards the "Spare."
