She was trained to be the perfect assassin, getting beat and thrown into a pitch dark, small room if she didn't follow orders perfectly, defied orders, didn't follow orders immeadiatly, or if she failed a mission. One day while she was on a mission, her victim fought back and she was almost killed. Her victim had stabbed her with her own katana, through her forearm, as she had tried to keep it from her stomach, and into her stomach. She was found bleeding out in an alleyway, drenched from the rain, by Kai Chisaki. He had taken her back to the Shie Hassaikai base, saving her life in doing so.
