There she was, standing in the center of the stage, staring in awe at the scenery surrounding her. The lights dazzled her and filled her with joy. I stood in silence some feet away from her, unsure of how to interact with her, or if I even should in the first place. I couldn't understand why she was here, or how she got here in the first place. This city of circus lights and sounds is in the middle of nowhere, and yet she managed to find it and get in. How did none of Robotnik's lackeys see her?
She looks around her as she smiles at everything she sees. Somehow, it fills me with joy seeing her happy. I don't know why I'm happy seeing her happy. I don't even know her. Without even realizing it, I find myself approaching her. She notices me and waves, not for a second questioning me or how I got here. When I'm face to face with her, she introduces herself. I don't hear it at first. I had zoned out while looking at her. Her beauty had me speechless.
"Hi, I'm Amy! What's your name?"
"Uhh...S-Sonic."
"Sonic? That's a cool name! I like it!" I blush a little, though I don't know why. "Isn't this place beautiful? The lights are so stunning I can't help but stare."
"Oh right, uhh. Amy, this place isn't safe. There's bad people around here who want to hurt you. You need to get out of here."
"What are you talking about? I haven't seen any dangerous people here." Suddenly Metal Sonic puts himself between us. Before I could react, he grabs Amy and takes off. I bolt after him, staying close. Amy begs me to save her. Don't worry Amy, I'll save you!
I spin dash into Metal in desperation to set her free. I catch her before she hits the ground and she stares at me in awe, the same way she did the lights around this place. I put her down and stand in front of her, refusing to let Metal get between us again. We trade blows here and there whilst Amy hides. He kicks me down to the ground before attempting to slam his body into mine. I get up and spin dash right into him, sending him flying backwards. His body colliding with the ground and the force of the hit was enough to render him useless. I take Amy from her hiding spot and take her away from here.
"Thank you Sonic. I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't saved me."
"All in a day's work. Next time keep an eye out on where you are. I may not always be around to save you." She nods, understanding my statement. After parting ways, I can't help but to think about her.
