I put my books down on my table and push up my glasses.
I loved kindergarten, it was so easy. It's like I was a pro at this.
I see a boy walk in with the principal. Then the teacher immediately smiles and introduces us to him.
"Class meet Jahseh , Jahseh meet the class. I want everyone sharing and being nice to him" Ms.Brown says smiling
Today was the second week of school. A total of 10 days due to us only going to school Monday through Friday
"Why doesn't everyone come up and introduce your selves to Jahseh" Ms.Brown says joyfully
"Alicia first" Ms. Brown says
"Hi, My name is Alicia. My favorite shape is a circle, and I am very nice but I don't mess around when it comes around to my family, Brittany or Becky" Alicia says
I roll my eyes, they are the biggest B words in this class. They want everything their way. If it doesn't go their way they make your life horrible
"Ben come up"Ms.Brown says
"Hi, my name is Ben , my favorite color is green and I love dinosaurs. I am very cool and funny. Maybe we can become good friends" Ben states
Ben is not even cool. He just thinks he is.
After a whole bunch of people went. It was my turn.
"Mercedes come up" Ms.brown says
I walk up nervously.
"H-Hi I'm M-Mercedes, I have a lot of favorite colors, my favorite shape is a heart. I am a poet, I love reading. I have blue braces, I say smiling, I'm nice and I guess the rest you can find out" I say smiling
I look around the crowd and see Jahseh staring at me .
I then started to get nervous. So as I was walking I tripped over a rug and Becky, Britney and Alisha started laughing.
They were so pretty but mean. Becky has nice long brown straight hair, freckles, blue eyes, but very skinny.
Britney has long straight blonde hair, blue eyes, skinny, she had a mole above her mouth and very pink lips
Alisha had black hair, but it was up to her shoulders, green eyes, arched eyebrows, and tinted lips
Meanwhile I had brown very curly hair, hazel eyes, arched eyebrows, I was Caramel color, dimples, braces, and wore glasses.
They thought I was a dork, because I was into books, had glasses, and braces.
My eyes started to tear up, so I asked to go to the bathroom.
"Ms.Brown May I please go to the bathroom?" I ask
"Yes Mercedes you may" She replies
I run out the classroom and enter the bathroom and I start sobbing.
They always talk about me , and it gets to me because I am so sensitive.
Nobody understands how I feel, and I don't tell my mommy how I feel because then they are going to call me a "snitch" or as others say an "opp"
I take off my glasses and wipe my eyes.
I sniffle and put my glasses back on.
I fix my skirt and walk back into class.
I look at Jahseh and he looks back. I fake a smile and he frowns.
He probably noticed I wasn't happy or that I was crying.
"Welcome back Mercedes, Now that she is back it is playtime" Ms.Brown says smiling
I never understood why she welcomes kids when they get back from the bathroom. Or why she waits to start playtime.
I wasn't really into dolls or toys. So I looked around the class to see Jahseh in the corner alone.
I was debating if I should go over there and keep him company, or if I should just go finish my book I was reading.
I finally made my decision because it could be my chance to finally make a friend.
So I went over there and spoke to him
"Hi Jahseh , if you don't remember , I'm Mercedes" I say smiling with my blue braces glistening
"Yeah i remember, wassup" he replies
"So I don't have any friends because everyone thinks I'm a dork" I say frowning
"Want to be friends?" I ask smiling
He smiles back.
He is kind of cute.
"I don't have any friends because people think I'm weird, nobody in this class even spoke to me yet, besides you" Jahseh replies
"But sure I can really use a friend" Jahseh says smiling
His smile was nice and he seemed nice
"So are yo-" I get cut off by Britney
"Look at the little couple in the corner together" Britney says laughing
"Shut up, like you really always in someone business, mad cause no one wants you in this class. and we not even a couple, we just friends " I say rolling my eyes
"Mhm, honey that's what they all say" Becky says sticking her tongue out.
"G-"
"Just leave us alone and stay in your own zone" Jahseh says defending me and him
They then rolled their eyes and walked away.
"Sometimes I just hate them, they are so mean for no reason" I say to Jahseh frowning
"It's okay" he says smiling. we are friends now , it will get better you are not alone..
Jahseh's POV
Mercedes was so beautiful, I don't understand why Becky, Alisha, And Britney hate her
Probably cause she look better than all three of them .
Her braces, hair, dimples , and smile Just is so ughhh.. something that would make you fall in love.
But Mercedes seems nice, so maybe we can be the best of friends.
