Joel's POV
The guy quickly got off of her once he realized we opened the door. Austin instantly punched him. "Yo what you doing" Austin said to him. I grabbed Jenesis it hurts my heart how scared she looks right now. We walked away "are you ok?" I asked Jenesis.

"Yeah I'm ok now. Thank you Joel." I walked her to the couch so she could sit with my friends. I told them what happened. "Stay here. I'll be right back." I kissed her forehead. "Ok"

Austin and I walked around the party to find the guy again. He looked like he was a junior. I saw him before because he goes to our school. He was the same height as me and he was wearing black today. "There he is" Austin pointed at him.
We walked up to him and he looked really nervous . "What's wrong with you!" I pushed him "leave my girl alone. If you ever touch her again just know your gonna have to deal with us."

"Ok. Sorry sorry."

"Yeah ok. Whatever. You glad I ain't beat you up"

I walked away with Austin. "Where did you go?" Jenesis asked when we came back to the couch

"Don't worry about it. Do You wanna leave?"

"Yeah I do"

I helped her get up and we walked outside. I picked her up because she was limping. "I'm sorry for what happened."

" it's not your fault. I'm safe now and that's all that matters. I keep on thinking about what could happen if y'all took longer to come and get me."

"Yeah. Well it's not going to happen." We walked to her front door.

"I hope it won't. That was scary. I couldn't get him off of me"

"I'll make sure it won't." I carried her to her room and laid her on the bed. I took her heels off.

"Joel, can you stay here tonight please" she gave me this cute face

"Yes. I'll just tell my dad"

"Ok, thank you"

"Can you go in my drawer and get a sports bra and comfortable shorts?"

"Yeah babe" I started looking in her drawers

"Thanks". You could tell she was bothered and there was something off about her. Her whole vibe was not as positive anymore. I know she is hiding some type of pain. Emotional or physical.

"I could only find this bra that doesn't have padding"

"It's very small" she laughed "that's gonna show everything but whatever. Give it to me"

"What's wrong with showing everything" I smirked

"Boy get out my room so I can change" she laughed

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes

I'm trying to make her happy because I know what happened to her isn't something you can get over really quickly.

"You can come back in babe"

I walked in and she was right, she was showing everything. That bra was really small. But it looks very sexy on her. I took my shirt and pants off because I don't like sleeping in my clothes. I turned the lights off and laid right next to her.

*the morning*

I woke up and saw that Jenesis wasn't next to me. I looked around and I realized her pain medicine was open and there wasn't as much as it was last night. I didn't really think about it that much. Maybe she just moved them to another bottle. I know that medicine can help you with depression or anxiety though so she might be using it for that but I don't think she is because that medicine isn't for depression. I walked downstairs and saw her cooking.
"Good morning. Do you want any pancakes?"

"Yeah" I hugged her from behind

"Ok. You can go sit down. They will be ready in five minutes"

The food was finally done and we were eating while she was watching Disney channel. "Are you ok?" I asked her out of nowhere.

"Yeah I'm ok" she looked sad though

"Were you in pain a lot last night and this morning?"

"Ummm.. yeah. why?"

"I just saw a lot of your pain pills gone. You know you can't take those a lot in twenty four hours right? "

"Umm.. to be honest...
