Mom said that moving would be the greatest thing to ever happen, but how did it turn so horrible. We just entered Hawkins, Indiana when my father lost control of our car and we crashed into a tree everything went black and when I awoke I was no longer in the car nor in the same place I once was, it was dark and cold where I was no people just darkness it was like another version of the real world.

It felt like months maybe even a year to me before I found a way out but it was only 2 days, I found a gate at least I think it's a gate in the middle of the forest in a tree I knew it was a gate most wouldn't, they'd think it was just this weird thing on a tree you shouldn't touch. But I was a different story, I know things that no normal person would know just by looking at or touching something or even people, it's a gift as my Mom told me that everyone in our family has.

"Come on, Hope just go through and I'm free from this place" I whispered that's when I heard a familiar noise far away from me, I turned and looked around for the source before holding up my hands causing the gate to open a little before I pushed through falling back into the real world the world I had been taken from. I turned and held out my hands closing the gate with as much power as I could, when it closed I looked around I was in the middle of the forest it was pouring rain making me clean.

I walked out and found the road and followed it, the walk was long into town and it was dark out by the time I hit any street lamps at all I hadn't even been in Hawkins before this so I wasn't sure where I was going. But with luck I spotted the police station I walked toured it and pushed open the door, "well, Florence you have a goodnight-" the chief of police was about to leave but stopped as he spotted me standing there, I was probably a sight to see; drenched from head to toe a small wound on my forehead from the car accident.

"Sir, my name is Hope Stark" I spoke he looked around at the other police officers. "Get the girl a blanket!" he demanded before walking over and leading me to a chair, "call an ambulance while your at it, your Hope Stark?" he asked I nodded as a sympathetic look came into his eyes. I knew what was coming as I felt tears in my eyes, "Mom and Dad, they didn't make it" I breathed out a blanket was placed over my shoulders as he grabbed me into his arms and I broke down.

"I'm sorry, we found the car two days ago. No you we knew they had a daughter but we couldn't locate you at all, I need to know where you were Hope for two whole days?" he asked I pulled back and looked at him, I knew they wouldn't believe me 'somethings are best kept secret from those that would never believe it' my Mom's words rang in my mind. I couldn't tell him the truth so I did the next best thing, I lied, "I hit my head and when I woke I was in the woods it was dark and raining. I have a history of sleepwalking maybe I just walked out there but I don't remember anything else" I saw the look in his eyes and I knew he didn't believe me but he didn't ask anything else.
