Amber Irwin ~ her parents abandoned her when she was only 11 and her neighbours adopted her/took her in as if she was their own child, they have a daughter one year older than her and they have been best friends since. Amber had a brother but he was forced to go with her parents, he warned her that it was going to happen but he couldn't help. In secondary school Amber was teased and bullied so badly that at only 15 she attempted suicide, Charlotte got to her before she could do anything. Now, at the age of 19, Amber is moving to LA with Charlotte in hopes of starting afresh. There are two things that she won't leave the house without: her grandmother's wedding ring, and the 'dog-tag' necklace with her brother's name and date of birth on it.
Charlotte Rose ~ She is Amber's best friend and they are inseparable. Ever since she walked in on Amber trying to commit suicide, Charlotte has looked for any signs that she will try it again. They are both moving to LA for college. She is the biggest 5sos fan.
Luke Hemmings ~ He has slept with nearly all of the girls in his college and has only ever had one real relationship which was when he was 14, they were together for 3 years. When they broke up he became the "bad boy" of the college. He flirts with any girl that he hasn't slept with, and any girl that he sets his eyes on. He's in a band called 5 seconds of summer, however, they are not well known in Los Angeles. Amber knows nothing about the band but Charlotte loves them.
