(Emelia)
It's real. I've returned. I'm back.
I never thought i'd ever saunter back into this town, let alone realize that i've actually missed it. I shake my head, pushing back the thoughts and memories of the last time i had been here. I should grateful Im able to come back here. Even more so that i could find my way back. But now that i'm here, everything seems so different, even though i'm sure nothing has changed.
But I've changed.
Fear runs through me making me pause in my efforts. Why had i decided to return? I truly didn't know myself. It's been so long, but I missed everyone so terribly. I had to seize this opportunity, i couldn't just let it slip through my fingers, no matter how much i worry this won't go the way i hope. I continued on, determined.
It was late, as it always seems to be when I roam about. The town was quiet, the only thing alive being the streetlights that I stay hidden behind, camouflaged with the shadows. As i continue on, my thoughts drift to my time before now. That night, I was sure i'd die, my time had come.
But i was wrong.
Only a part of me died that night. I should have known, but i was naive, and let my emotions control me. And when i had awoken, i realized the flaw in my plan. For i woke up in a dark place, feeling nothing but an overwhelming power, that scared me straight down to my very core.
For i had sinned that night, and I had fallen.
I woke surrounded by creatures, eyes black as their non existent souls, and smiles so genuine and excitement at the sight of me now a part of their afterlife. The shock wore off quickly, and the lord I now only know was kind to me, for he had fallen too. And after having done my time as my new role, he graciously allowed me to walk the earth again. I may never be able to see above the clouds as i used too, but to be given this chance has made my now soulless self very grateful.
My thoughts came to a halt as i saw the place id been searching for. The small wood house was dark, as the person inside no doubt fast asleep. I gulped before walking toward the door, smoothing down my hair in an attempt to look like the human i had before. I knocked on the door, trying to be gentle, but flinched as three large bangs echoed through the house. I stood still, trying to appear as unthreatening as possible. I heard footsteps approach and the door slowly opened. I smiled softly, trying to appear gentle, but could feel my K9 teeth peak over my bottom lip as i tried. I gave a small wave, the way i had done what felt like centuries ago.
"E-Emmy!?"
"Hello Mai"
