BEEEEEP! BEEEEEEP!
My alarm on my phone goes off. "Shitty alarm..." I sit up groggily, my body screaming not to. I rub my eyes, still tired from watching horror movies for most of the night. I press dissmis on my phone and the beeping shuts up. Getting up, I dizzily make my way to the bathroom.
After taking a piss, showering, and brushing my teeth, I go back to my bedroom. I grab my phone and check the time, then throw it back on the bed to get my clothes on. I get my backpack and supplies ready, as well as a lunch. Today was gonna be rough... Like everyday. Making my way to the front door, I grab a granola bar from the counter, and walk out.
I finish the granola bar as I walk up the steps of the high school building. Stuffing the trash in my pocket I see my friend Dylan. "Dylan! How was your weekend?" I walk up to him as he turns. "Not bad, how about you?" He responds. Suddenly, there's a loud thump. Dylan and I both turn to see what it is, but we already know.
Jason is making his way towards us, slamming all the lockers on the way. "Hey rejects," He says, with a smug look on his face, "how is it in emo-ville today?" He laughs and slams Dylans locker closed. "You know... I'm running low on spending money, do you two have some money I can borrow?" Jason chuckles. "Jason, just leave us alone. Please." I beg, but I know it's useless. "So you do have some money?" He punches me in the gut, almost causing me to throw up the granola bar I just ate. "Patrick!" Dylan yells, "Jesus dude, are you okay?! Fuck Jason! Just leave us alone!" Dylan starts helping me up from my knees. "You two know the drill. Hand over the money and I'll leave." Jason says with that dumbass face of his. I reach into my pocket and pull out a 10 dollar bill. "This.. -cough- .. Is all I have right now..." Jason chuckles, "And you?" He looks at Dylan, "Your money." Dylan shakes his head, "I don't have any money on me today.." Jason groans, "Is that so? Do I have to beat it out of you?"
"No no! I don't have any!" Dylan pleads. I sigh. This was how every day goes. Jason shrugs, "My guys will be here soon. They'll get something out of you one way or another." He starts to walk away and Dylan lets out a sigh of relief.
"We should get to our class," I say and sigh, "It'll get our minds off of this." Dylan walks in front of me. "But wasnt that your money for your lunch account?" He asks, worried. "Don't worry. I brought lunch in case." I smile and he sighs. "Lets go then." He starts walking and I walk with him, talking about the normal things we do. Girls, demons, and trash talking Jason.
I sigh as I glance up at the clock on the wall. Second period was almost over and I could tell that everyone else in my math class was just as bored as me. Our math teacher, Mr. Galvera, never really made us do much. He just told us stuff and then made us do a worksheet or two a week. "And so, that is how you solve the equation. Any questions?" The class just stared at him. "Alright. Tomorrow we'll have an independent worksheet over everything we've covered in section 3.5. If you need more help you can go over pages 47 to 56 in your online text book." Everyone in the class groaned but they're drowned out by the sound of the bell. Mr. Galvera calls after the students rushing out the door, like he does everyday, "Remember! Math can be used anywhere! Have a good day!" I sigh and grab my stuff. It was no use sitting around here and listening to another math lecture, but then again the hall wasn't as safe either. Jason's goonies would be here by now, and all the popular kids would be standing around in the hall chatting. Second period break, as I like to call it, made the halls a war zone. Among the students, our school is split up into 5 groups; the Nerds, the Hounds (or the Jocks/Bullies), the Poodles (Popular girls), the Lower Class, and the Rejects. Our school was like a giant plus shape. It also had three floors. Two above ground and one below. As well as a flat roof that we were free to hang out on. On the west wing of the school on the top floor, was the nerd zone. That was where all the math club, book club, and science club kids hung out. Or well, the smart kids. The entire north wing was the "cool" zone. All the popular girls and jocks hung out there. The cheerleaders, the swim team, the baseball players, the volleyball team, and the rich kids all hung out there. Although, they still wandered everywhere else in the building and made fun of anyone who wasn't "cool". The east wing belonged to the lower class. And nobody wants the south wing since that's where the principal's office is. Then there's the roof. Which belongs to the rejects... Meaning Dylan and I had the whole roof to ourselves since even the lower class didn't want guys like us. I guess I kinda understand though. What group would want a couple of guys who believe in demons and Satan? Fanfic writers?
