The following day, with a book in her hand, Alice looks at the library again. She sigh before she walks toward the place that she still finds odd and old. The building is obviously abandoned. And if not with the students lingering around, reading and studying on their own as Peter said, it will really just seemed like a clean abandoned space.

She was told to come the next day if she wishes to enroll herself. And so she did. But Peter did not say any further instructions. Just bring a book and be there. So when she reached the front desk she instantly smile and asked for further instructions.

"Hi, I would like to enroll myself here."

The lady looks up and stares at her before asking.

"And who invited you in?"

"Excuse me?" Alice asked in a surprised manner.

"Who introduced you to this place," the lady clarified.

"Oh... it's Peter... Peter Ramos."

"One moment please," said the lady before she typed in her computer. It only takes a while before the lady handed her a card.

Welcome to the Bookless Library

Follow these rules so you could remain learning here:

- Observe in silence and don't interrupt the other students.

- No book. No entry.

- Submit your essay on or before 5:00 PM sharp.

"Is that all?" Alice asked. But the lady is no longer in her seat.

She just looks around and finds herself a nice seat.

"I wonder if Peter is here," she whispered to herself.

And since she would be bored waiting for him while doing nothing, Alice started reading the book she intended to read ever since last year. It is a nonfiction book about marketing. She is currently working at an agency where helping their clients sell their products and services should be done effectively. Being a Marketing Associate is not something Alice would wish to be stuck with for a long time so she thought of that opportunity to improve her career—aside from the fact that she wanted to be with Peter again.

It had taken her a few pages before Alice realized time had passed and Peter was still nowhere in sight. Until finally she saw him running late—literally running and obviously late because it was already past eight in the morning.

Alice was about to call his attention when he went passed her seat but she remembered to stay silent while in that place. She just hope that Peter will notice her standing there.

But he did not notice her. He was busy rummaging his mailman bag, and when he saw what he was looking for was in his bag he then looks at the time on his wristwatch and even went on with a quicker pace.

Alice sat again on her chair.

Disappointed.

But then she went on reading her book, and wrote her essay.

It's the only thing she can do while waiting for an opportunity to see Peter again.

Besides, maybe he really needs to go to his class.

Wait. Class?

Peter have no class.

Maybe he was just sitting in another corner.

Alice stood and look around.

That's odd, she thought. Where is he?

Alice couldn't find Peter anywhere. So when she delivered her paper at the front desk and as soon as she received a receipt she asked the lady who is different from the one who gave her the card with instructions.
