I remember the moment tea was ruined for me vividly.
A deep red droplet of blood. That was what the memory felt like. It was urgent I cleaned up this blood droplet of a memory right away.
But alas, no matter how much I attempted to wipe the memory from my brain, it stained.
Coffee shops never impacted me for their strenuity, in fact I enjoyed studying the ways others talk to eachother. That day was just another one of those days.
"Venti, Earl grey."
"Four ninety-five"
I waited for my drink and sat down.
Suddenly, all eyes were on the new stranger.
A bold frame waltzed in through the entry. The glass door vibrating from the mere strength of being slammed shut.
The man in the Starbucks was immensely threatning. His wispy and well kept blond hair may have said otherwise but his frame was jarringly tall and muscular. His expression was  brooding. Anyone could see that this wasn't a man worth threatning.
"Tsk." He uttered.
If I blinked I would have missed it, because with a powerful blow, he stabs a coffee shop patron with two fingers. Red pours down the patron's neck where his fingers dug through. The man gives a cackle, as if the pain of the innocent was funny to him.
Quickly, I rush to gather my bag and try to escape. I was at the back of the Starbucks, and out of sheer luck happened to be closest to a fire escape.
My grip was on the handle but the stranger says something that makes my stomach drop.
"I'm looking for Solas."
I freeze.
Time stops and I contemplate whether I should sprint out through the fire exit as fast as I can run or walk towards the barbaric scene.
Wind carresses my forehead as I throw open the door.
I chose to run.
