"I hate him, what he did to you, what he is to you, I hate him." Nagi said, frowning, his hand tightening around mine.

"We're going to get revenge Nagi, and maybe find you a proper father," I smiled fondly down at him. "Besides, I don't feel anything for your father, just disappointment and regret."

"I don't need a dad, mama, I have you." He smiled innocently, "Besides you're mine and no one else's." His grin got bigger, then disappeared, "I hate it when you cry and call out his name when you sleep, it makes me mad, and sad."

I laughed, "He's too adorable," "Don't worry Nagi, I've moved on."

A powerful gust of wind rushed by, and I felt Nagi's hand tear out of mine. My blood boiled like lava, rushing through my veins. I looked around, and saw that twenty guards, and the man who was holding Nagi surrounded me. My world tipped upside down. "Let go of him, you fuckers!" I yelled drawing my swords and charging the man in front of me. "NAGI!" I screamed desperately as I cut down the men in front of me, quickly disabling soldiers left and right. "NAGI!" I screamed again plunging my sword into and out of a guard's chest. Blood covered my front, and dripped off the silver blades. He was my son, and no one would take him away from me. I'd do anything for him, even die so he wouldn't have to go back to that horrible place he was born in four years ago. I wouldn't let them take him like they did me.

"MAMA!" Nagi cried as I fought the guards. I glanced around the clearing, he thrashed in his captors arms. Adrenaline pumped in my veins, like a tiger ready to pounce. How dare they take him from me! I became a whirlwind of blades. Nothing could stop me now. He was mine and no one would take him from me.

I slaughtered the man in front of me, and pushed him aside, like last night's scraps. At this point, my hands, clothes and brown curls were stained with the crimson substance.

I paused, panting for breath. This was bad. I was drained of energy, and mostly functioned on adrenaline, due to the fact that we had been running for almost three days straight. I still had seven guards to deal with, including the one whom held Nagi. "Don't touch Mama!" Nagi yelled again. I glanced over briefly just in time to see him thrashing around, and the guard raising a fist as if to strike him.

"Don't you dare lay a hand on him, assholes!" I roared engaging the guard in front of me, trying to get to my son. I dispatched the last soldier, and was about ten feet away from the man whom held Nagi. I charged towards him, sprinting. The guard ran, and I picked up my pace gaining on the soldier. He looked back, and his eyes widened in terror. I quickened my pace further, and sped ahead of him coming to a halt, and spinning to face him. "Give me my son, shithead!" I barked, glaring at the man that was gonna die for stealing Nagi.

"What if I don't want to Kumiko?" He smirked.

"Oh he is so going to die," I thought. I allowed a smirk to grace my lips. "Then die." Careful not to hit Nagi I charged. The guard panicked, and threw Nagi to the side. I laughed, saying "Rookie mistake, motherfucker." He had left himself wide open so my sword impaled him easily, like going through butter. I pulled out the blades and sheathed them.

I stood and turned to where Nagi was thrown, and I saw him in the arms of a man. He was tall and muscular, with long waist length, inky, black hair. "Who the fuck are you?!" I asked, putting my hands on the hilts of my swords.

"Wow, you're strong for a thirty year old, ma'am," he said setting Nagi down, holding his hand.

"I'm nineteen, not thirty!" I huffed. "I believe I asked you who you were?"

"Excuse my manners, I'm Rhysand Cheney, I caught your son when that man threw him, nice technique by the way." I took my hands off my hilts, and walked forward a few steps. "What's your name?"

"My name is Kumiko Fujioka, my son is Nagi Fujioka." I said bowing in thanks. "Thank you for catching my son."

He chuckled, "No need to bow, I'm just helping out a fellow traveler." He let go of Nagi's hand, and my son ran to me. I clutched him to my chest, giving him a big kiss on the cheek, as tears filled my big blue eyes.

"I'm fine mama, I'm alright." His bright blue eyes sparkled. He gave me the toothy smile I loved, and wrapped his arms around me. I held him, and ran my fingers through his raven locks.

"May I inquire on what these men wanted from Nagi?" Rhysand asked.

"My father wants him to be the heir of the company, and wants me to marry a rich friend of his." I spat, "He doesn't care about us, all he wants is money."

"I'm sorry your father treats you that way, I wish he was nicer."

"You don't need to apologize for him, it wasn't you who tried to use family members for money." I kissed Nagi's head, and took a deep breath. "Okay, let's go meet your father Nagi," I said standing up.

"I still hate him." Nagi pouted his tiny fists clenched. "I don't need a dad either." I laughed out loud, and picked him up, dropping a kiss on his head.

"Where are you traveling to?" Rhysand asked.

"We are traveling to Magnolia." I replied

"I shall accompany you until the next town, I have noticed we are traveling the same way, ne?"

"Hai, it will be an honor to travel with you," I responded smiling. As we set off for Magnolia, My head filled with thoughts, and I smiled clutching Nagi's hand. We walked through the forest, glints of sunlight, peeking through the leaves. The world was righted again. Only because he was my son, and he was my world.
