I'm not leaving

I had no where to go and the only place to go was with my aunt in California so that's where I'm going I've been here when I was small probably like 8 years old and that was the last time I've been here I'm 18 years old now everything seems the same just how it was 11 years ago last stop Los Angeles I quickly got up from my seat and made my way out of the bus and some few other people

I walked out of the bus and noticed my grandma and my aunts also cousins waiting for me with a big white cardboard with my name on it

I big smile appeared on my face as I ran towards them giving my grandma a hug first then the rest

I missed you all I saw my aunt Mari holding a baby " is this Dayana"?I asked she nodded with a big smile on her face

" she is so beautiful" I made a silly face making her giggle

"How was the trip"? My uncle asked
My eyes widen " oof god it was super hot the ac wasn't working but I'm here now"

The whole way to my aunt's Mari house we were talking about the trip over here and how everyone kept arguing with the bus driver because there wasn't any cool air. We got my aunts house it wasnt to big yet not to small it was alright three rooms which means an extra room for me. Now my aunt didn't live in a big fancy house it was just a regular house and that's just the way I like it

"Not again" I heard my aunt say, she closed the fridge " what's wrong tia" I asked she looked exhausted

" I forgot to buy milk for Dayana that's the only way she sleeps" she sighed and sat down

" I can bring it for you tia the store is not that far to be honest" she looked at me for a while then agreeing with me she gave me 20 dollars " buy your self something if you like"

I give her a smile and grabbed my bag on my way out, I remember a shortcut to the store which I took it going through a ally I kept walking a dog started barking at me then wagging his tail I walk towards the dog petting him I check his collar to see his name Balto

Oh my god Balto!? I remember him when he was just a pup!

I reached the liquor store as I walked in I grabbed a a cup filling it with cherry slushy and some red vines and small piece of beaf jerky for Balto on my way back I also grabbed the gallon of milk when I turned around I bumped into someone making me drop my red vines

I groaned I got down to pick it up but the one person's hand and my hand touched at the same time

"Sorry" I mumbled I looked up to see who it was and I noticed that he was very very handsome

"Its my fault I didn't see you " I nodded as I walked towards the counter so I can pay my stuff I felt like if someone was watching me I turn around to my right and there he was standing there and giving me a few glances pretending to be looking for what ever he was

I turned around quickly a small smile forming on my lips I quickly got the bags and walked out of the store I stopped by where Balto was giving him the beaf jerky

"Cute dog" I heard a deep voice behind me I turned around seeing that it was the same guy from the liquor store

"It's not mine" I bite my bottom lip nervously I looked up at him and he's staring at me...just staring at me

" well I got to go" i put the wrapper in the bag i was about to leave when he stopped me " you are not from around here aren't you "

He walked ahead of me then waited for me guessing he wants me to walk with him?

"Um no but my aunt is-" he cuts me off "aunt Mari I know she been telling the whole town about your arrival " I sigh " that's aunt Mari for you"

"I'm Bryan" he says. I stop walking and stare at him trying to figure out if that's the same Bryan I had a crush on when I was a little girl

"Bryan as in Bryan Guzman"? He stops walking and give me a small smile "yeah that's me" god I'm so stupid I had a major crush on him how didn't I noticed him

"I'm Jennifer" his smile gets bigger, turning around he starts walking again leaving me by self

I arrived at the house and give my aunt Mari the gallon of milk and her change back

"I'm going to go start unpacking tia I'll be right out when I'm finished " she looked up at me giving me a big smile. "Yes mija dinner is at 5:00 ok?" I nodded my head as I walked to my room.

I closed the door and looked around my room it was a bunk bed but on the bottom instead of a bed it was a desk a big black fluffy rug and some white curtains it was small but not small a good amount of space for me.

It took me couple of hours trying to fix my room .I hung up some fairy lights that I had brought with me which the room look a bit better. Maybe later on I'll go shopping for more stuff to decorate my room.

I walked out of my room to look around the house a bit it was a pretty nice house

"Mija dinner is ready" I heard plates getting set on the table. As I walked in I see my grandma my uncle and baby Dayana already waiting for me to dig in.

Seeing this made my heart warm up it's been a long time that I haven't felt this way

Everyone laughed made jokes talk about the past something a normal family would do. I was already washing the dishes while aunt Mari was putting Dayana to sleep grandma was in the living watching her novela and uncle Alex was in the kitchen texting who knows who but I do sure know it was a chick by the way he was smiling at his phone. Tio Alex he's in a gang him and dad were but dad when dad found out that mom was pregnant he wanted me to have a normal life so they left and that's when they had me.

I washed the last plates and dried my hands with my shirt I sat next to my tia Alex giving him puppy eyes.

He looked at away from his phone as he looked at me giving me a weird look.

"What you want loca" I small smile formed on my face "who are you texting?" I asked

He looked back to his phone as he began to text" my girl, she wants me to go with her to a party but I dont know if I should go"
"Let's go" I said with a smile on my face " you clearly want to go see her don't you?" I asked
