A/N Hey there fellow Naruto fans,  I am so excited to be writing this fanfic. Also fair warning it's a slow updated story. Life is rather busy right now. Thankfully I have a few pre-written chapters ready. So I hope you enjoy!! P.s. It is unedited so if there are any mistakes dint mind them. I'll edit it once the story is completed. I DO NOT OWN NARUTO ALL RIGHTS BELONG TO THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR OF NARUTO AND HIS CHARACTERS

I take a deep breath as I stare up at the full moon. Like always I was over thinking things. Its been two years since my life changed. Now I'm just a regular lazy citizen in Yume no mura. The village of dreams. Though I can't help but think what could of been. I was one of the youngest to ever graduate early from the Academy, but I was naive back then. I believed everything was going to be fine. But oh how I was wrong.

This night marks exactly two years since I lost it all. My dream, my friends, and myself. I tried to move on but nothing ever worked. I would just lose my temper to easily when Elder Gon asked for me to help teach the younger generation in tai jutsu. Even though it feels somewhat the same like it did back then, I can't help but shake the feeling that something was about to happen. I call this my ninja instinct kicking in.

I look down at my braid and sigh. My blue hair shining ever so slightly underneath the beautiful moonlight. A lasting reminder of the clan I lost because we were betrayed. Now unless they are completely trusted no one is allowed to bring anyone in from the outside. I close my eyes and yawn. Every single thought going through my mind at a rapid pace. Memories I wish to forget resurfacing.
"Amai. Elder wants to see you." An old colleague of mine appears out of no where. His blue eyes piercing into my purple ones. I keep my face blank. Sure I want to laugh at how stupid he looks with his hair up in a million directions, but I haven't laughed or smiled in so long, I think I've forgotten how. "Amai, Are you even listening?" He asks and glares.

"Ya, ya. I heard you the first time Hikaru." I wave him off before jumping out of the tree and back onto the ground. Trees. I love trees. Trees are where I am most of the time, just staring up at the moon. Being an insomniac sucks.

"Elder woke me up to come get you. Be happy." I hear him mutter and I just keep my gaze straight. I used to bicker with Hikaru a lot when were back in the Academy and even when we were put on seperate squads. We still always found ways to make each others life a living hell just for the fun of it. But after that...'incident',  things change. I've changed. I no longer wanted to do anything to waist my energy and I no longer wanted to help anybody.

"So exactly why does he want to see me?" I ask in a quiet voice.
"Don't know the full details. But I promised to let him tell you." He answers and I let out a sigh again. I stop walking and look up at the sky, only to see the clouds covering the moon and with that I picture the Elders office and disappear from Hikarus sight instantly.
A second later I appear outside two large wooden doors with owls on it. I knock and wait for them to open. When they did I was greeted with a large room. The floor was black and the walls were a midnight blue. The colors of our village.  I let my gaze fall over the room. I haven't been in here for a year and a half. Things haven't changed at all since the last I came, I really shouldn't be surprised. Nothing in Yume no mura changes to much or people will start arguing. It's really tiresome
Across the room, sits a chair decorated in gold and silver with a black cushioning. As well as a desk in front of it. Behind it was a wall of glass that overlooked Yume no mura forest. A beautiful forest filled with many creatures. Next, I let my eyes wander to the walls. Pictures of previous Elders aligned them as well as pictures of the villages greatest moments. There were statues upon statues of our Greatest Heroes lining the corridor protecting us.
My eyes finally landed on the man leaning against his desk, looking out the window. His silver hair was pulled back and I just knew his brown eyes would be calculating. He was wearing a long black robe with silver stars. The formal wear of an Elder. I look down at my attire.
I was wearing my usual. A black tank top, midnight blue shorts, black socks and silver ninja sandals
"You called for me Elder?" I ask as I walk into the glorious room. I watch as the Elder turns and looks at me. His eyes were void of emotion and I knew from right then that what he was going to say wouldn't be good. Whenever he used to look at me, I would see pity. But now it was a look that said he made up his mind.
"We have much to discuss Amai." He says and sits down. I just walk up to his desk and look at him. Waiting for him to get to it. "Now there are two things we need to discuss. The first thing is that I have decided to send you to Kohonagakure to live." Elder tells me and my eyes widen.
"W-what? Why?"
"You're not well. You haven't slept in a year and you haven't tried to be a ninja again. I can not keep paying for your stay here. And since your compound is destroyed you have nowhere to go. Which brings us to the next matter. I want your permission to destroy the compound so we can build a training ground." He continues.
The familiar feeling of rage starts to consume me and I glare at the old man. "I am not moving to whatever village you just said, and I will not let my compound turn into a training ground for children who have no idea what it means to be a ninja!" I scream and watch as his eyes widen in surprise at my outburst. It's been a long time since I've yelled at someone so my voice cracked a little.
"Amai, you are going no matter what. No one here can help you anymore. Now I accept your answer for the compound. Go back to your home and start packing. You will be leaving in the morning. Now go." I clench my teeth," also cut your hair." My eyes widen at his last statement.
"I-I'm being banished?" I question, "know what? Never kind." I mutter before vanishing again and appearing back in my home. I don't have much to pack since most of is already put into scrolls and in a bag. I had a feeling that I could never stay here living as I did. But to be banished from my only home and sent to a place I never been or heard of. Then again my village is very secluded as well as most of the ninja villages in this land. The land of Night. A very small country to be exact. But there is only one way to my village. The actual entrance is on what we call the mainland. But the only way into our village is if you get invited or know the Jutsu to get here.
This is all because you couldn't handle it. You know that right? My subconscious mocks. I let out a sigh.
"Shut up stupid brain," I grumble before finishing collecting all my things. I then walk to the mirror with a kunai in my hand and look at myself. My long blue hair was in a braid that went down to my waist. I avoided looking at my face knowing full well what I was going to see. But I still couldn't help myself.
My purple eyes were dull and had dark bags underneath them. I watch as a single tear falls down my cheek before I take the kunai and cut my hair. Watching as the braid falls to the ground. I am no longer going to care about idiotic things. At least I hope I don't.
