The trees were tall
They acted as a barrier
To keep everyone out
The little girl walked
Through the meadow
Towards the pond
The pier was old
But stable enough
To hold her as she sat down
Her toes barely skimmed the surface
For she was a small dainty thing
Her face was devoid of emotion
Unnatural considering she is so young
She watched as the fish swam
The water so blue and clear
So pure and perfect
Sudden little balls of light
Flashing with multitude of colors
Danced around her
She looked up
And saw stars
Twinkling and smiling down on her
The moon was full
Beautiful, so very beautiful
The girl sighs
As she wishes
That someone was here
To watch this with her
But it is not so
For her thorns are far too many
And she too avoid of emotion
To love anyone
To care for anyone
She is just a shell
Of a little girl
That will never feel
Never know the true meaning
Of Feeling...
