Emerald Taint, that's my name alright. I repetitively say it in my mind as I read my ID, trying to help myself not forget my.. beautiful name... Emerald

"EMERALD!"

I hear my dad yell at me as I held my head, I felt like my skull was crushed, screaming was heard from every direction making me feel anxious. I look at my hand to see blood all over it and my dad running to me. My vision blurred... I could see nothing.

Walking down the golden coloured halls of my new school feels... different. It's unusually nostalgic even if I haven't been here before. I turn to my wrist looking at the time 6:15 AM, still very early. I check my very messed up timetable and a map. I tried to make my way to where my homeroom was but I felt lost

"Emerald, I thought we lost you there"

I gently open my eyes to see a lovely nurse, beside me with a worried look plastered on her face. Her green eyes were puncturing through my blue and brown ones, full of worry.

After a few more minutes of walking around, I finally found where my locker was and decided to leave some of my things in there so my bag would be less heavy

"Lost.. Am I lost?!"

I say in an all worried voice, sweating, looking all around, scanning the room for answers.

"Baby girl, relax your breathing is getting very heavy calm down for a bit while I get your food ok?"

Something about her voice made me feel calm and at ease. Her sweet and mellow voice. I stopped panicking but my breathing still wasn't normal. She leaves the door to get me my food as I wait in silence.

Now time to find where my homeroom is. I hope someone helps find where

"heavy, that's what my body feels like right now"

I answer the kind and concerned nurse
after she asked how my body feels. Her voice, her sweet and mellow voice sounds so familiar that I can't explain because I remember absolutely nothing.

"Where are my parents?"

those were the only words I could form and say, I don't even know why. The kind nurse's face expression drastically changed from a joyous smiling lady to a worried and concerned look. It made even me worried.

I look at my watch after putting my books away. 6:29 AM still early, maybe I can walk around before panicking and running around, looking for my homeroom.

I stroll around the noisy halls, trying to observe everything around, the students, posters, walls

"where are t-they?"

I manage to stutter out as I look at her with worry, my blue and brown orbs start to shake and I feel tears swelling up, making her green eyes widen in panic. Her soft hands make their way to my cold hand as she squeezes it reassuringly.

"baby girl, look around, look everywhere from the walls to the floors. They're not here NOW but — look at me baby stop crying"

Her soft hands came in contact with my rosey cheeks, wiping away the tear with her pliable thumb.

"we'll find them ok?"

"find me after the count of ten sweetie."

I snap out of both flashbacks and blink repetitively. I yawn out of tiredness for I didn't get a wink of sleep last night. I walk outside campus and start strolling around for a bench to sit on.

I took a few turns before finally finding a chair, I can sit down on and rest.

I settle my bag down on the end of an unusually uncomfortable bench and set my self down on it, leaning on the support of the bench. I gently close my eyes and exhale with all relaxation.

A couple minutes later I open my eyes and look to my side to see an unknown person sitting beside me, looking at his time table.

"h-hi"

I say which catches his attention. He looks at me with his dark green eyes
which I think in a certain lighting, will turn emerald colour. I shot back a kind stare with my soft different coloured irises. I smile warmly at him as he parted his lips to answer

"U-uhm hello?"

He sounded more confused than welcoming, maybe because he's talking to a complete stranger. His gorgeous green eyes scanning me from head to toe, maybe he's checking if he knows who I am. If he's a childhood friend that's wonderful, but for me, I have absolutely no idea who this person was.

"My name's Emerald Taint! I'm new here I was hoping I could meet someone who's familiar around this place"

I say in an enthusiastic voice as his look slowly relaxes down.

"Oh-uhm I'm new here too."

He finally gave the smile I'm waiting for.

"Oh! well do you know your way around already?"

That was a stupid question, I thought.

"I have a guide"

Good for him, I'm actually just walking around aimlessly.

"aww good for you! I've been following the map but it's confusing, this place isn't exactly small is it?"

I chuckle a bit at myself causing him to giggle, aww he's adorable.

"That's true, My name's Jack by the way Jack Knight"

He holds one of his hands out for me to shake it. I smiled at him and shook his hand then we both parted as I lean back against the bench again.

"So, know anyone here?"

I ask making him flinch for a bit.

"yeah.. an old friend i guess?"

He sounded again, questioning than sure. It was weird.
