The offer always stands Desiree.

"So you're just gonna sit here by yourself?" I look up to see Heath with a bright, beaming smile plastered on his face. Returning the gesture, I point towards the empty chair in front of me. He happily obliges before running her hand through his hair. "It's good to see you again."

"Same to you." I found it difficult to make conversation because I didn't know whether or not to acknowledge that it's been months since we talked. "Jeff is over there with a girl named Kelsey."

I didn't dare look over but instead kept my eye contact steady on him. "Are they together?" I simply ask.

"I think they're just dating. He doesn't know you're here yet." He bites bottom lip before taking a swing of the beer in his hands. "I'd like to keep it way the rest of the night. He's not the reason i'm here anyways." He raises his hands in defense. David abruptly cuts him off as he takes a seat in the chair right beside me, followed by Natalie in the adjoining chair.

"How much do you love me?" I furrow my brows at his question before returning t to my food. "The answer is no." He loudly pouts before raising his hands in defeat, "Please Desiree! It'll make for good content!" He reconciles with me. "He wants to put, Jeff and Desiree kiss, on the wheel." I almost choke on my food before giving him a death glare. "Okay you're right, too soon."

They left about five minutes afterwards to go back to their wheel of content. I went back  to eating my burrito and aimlessly scrolling through Instagram as screams and shouts could be heard from the other room.

It was starting to dawn on me how much I wasn't enjoying this party but I tried my best to stay positive. I get up from my seat and make my way on the other side of the house to go and explore.

I peep my head into the numerous rooms seeing as they're all intricately decorated with expensive looking paintings and vases. Excessive amounts of throw pillows and bedding covered the comfortable looking bed. There was one room in particular that caught my eye as I walked down the hallway, low whispers rang through my ears. From the sound of it, it seemed to be Scotty and Kristen.

As I walked around the corner to see them, I felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach and for the first time in what has felt like forever, it was like a piece of my heart was ripped out of my body.

Jeff stood there, his hands placed on the small waist of a dark haired girl. His lips were pressed against hers and at that moment, it was like all the life was sucked out of me. I wasn't sure how to react considering the face the we have been broken up for months.

I was so fixated on the way his body was pressed so closely against hers that it brought memories of the moments we shared together. I fought the tears that threatened to fall from the outer corner of my eyes.

It took me a few minutes to realize that I had been watching them for so long. I quickly regain consciousness and slowly back up, only to knock over a vase on the side table. Their eyes immediately dart towards the direction of the commotion and at that moment, Jeff and I locked eyes.

I couldn't read him at all. Maybe it was the dark room or the fact that it's been a long time since we have seen each other but I knew one thing at this very moment. I never wanted to be a another girl at any other moment except this one. Just the way he held her alone made me feel like what we had never even existed.
