I Asked My Subconscious What I'm Afraid Of.

Have you ever... had a lucid dream? y'know, when you become aware in your dreams. You might've heard it or done it yourself. I personally love lucid dreaming, almost every night I try it. it doesn't work half the time, but it's fun nonetheless. Recently, i had a lucid dream, i did the simple "am i dreaming?" question too one of the people in my dreams. "yes you are, [god]" and with that response, I became aware, and soon enough, lucid.
When you lucid dream, there are a few rules too follow, just so you don't ruin it too early, or scar yourself for life.

rule 1: Don't. Kill.
why? because every single person in your dream are extensions of you, may it be your little sibling too your boss, killing them does no harm other then remembering their blood on your hands. The people are merely vessels for your mind too connect with to give you information.

rule 2: don't shut your eyes
closing your eyes are a quick way too wake you up, it's properly because it reminds you of laying in your bed, sleeping, comfortably or uncomfortable. Which will bring you back too the waking world with disappointment.

rule 3: don't push yourself
If you are a beginner too lucid dreaming, it's best not to do so much. Pushing mountains or becoming the creator of galaxy's. If you're starting out, Do small stuff. Build yourself up for pushing the mountains over, or becoming a God of another world, so may it be flying or taking control of what happens. If you do push yourself, you'll wake up.

rule 4: Never. temp. yourself.
nobody knows you better then yourself, of course that's what we're always told. Our subconscious is who we are. Our subconscious knows everything that we don't know. It knows what you like and why, and it knows what you hate and why you hate it. It knows our fears that we... might not be aware of, it knows what strikes true fear in the deepest of our hearts. Because it's us.

There are more rules or things to follow when you lucid dream, but these are the important ones to remember.

so with the rules out of the way, and if you're interested, give lucid dreaming a shot! it's always fun having a dream where you go on a romantic date with your crush, or getting that promotion from work you've been working so so hard for.
