My Friend Liv

Chapter 2

I've been hanging out with Liv a lot. She's amazing. I can tell her anything and she will listen and not judge me for it. She was telling me about her coming out and how her parent's don't really accept it. Some just think she's confused and family gatherings are really awkward now. I felt so bad. Nobody in my family really knows that I'm bi and I don't really plan on telling them. It doesn't bother me at all, but I can see it bothers her. She wants to be accepted.

I told her that she can come to my apartment any time she wants to escape her family. She seemed happy to hear that. She said she likes spending time with me. I'm glad I can be a friend to her. I can tell she needs it. She's supposed to be coming over later to hang out and watch tv. Meanwhile, I've been using the app again. I've hooked up with one other girl. To be honest, I can't even remember her name, but it was good. I haven't told Liv, but I don't think I have to right? She's just a friend.

******Later that night********

** Ryley hears a knock at the door and goes to answer it**

"Hey!!!" Ryley said enthusiastically

"Hey. I hope I'm not too early"

"Not at all. I wasn't doing anything. Just waiting for you. Come on in"

"I've been looking forward to this all day" Liv said in her cute quiet voice

"Really?!?"

"Yeah"

"Me too!" Ryley said smiling ear to ear

The two decided to watch a movie and halfway into the movie Liv falls asleep in Ryley's lap. Ryley looked at how cute she was. She didn't want to move, but she had to go to the bathroom. On her way back to the living room she decided to get a glass of wine. She opened the cabinet quietly so that she wouldn't disturb Liv. She got a glass and started to pour her wine. She was almost done when she saw Liv's head lift up from the couch.

"Hey cutie"

"Hey. I'm sorry I fell asleep. It's been a really long day"

"It's ok" Ryley said as she walked back over to the couch with her wine

Ryley motioned for Liv to come sit on her lap

"Where's mine?"

"Umm nowhere missy. Age limit"

"What? Come on. You know I've had drinks before"

"Ummmmm"

"Come on. One sip"

"Fine. One sip"

"Yay!" Liv takes one sip and doesn't say anything

"Sooooo.. How was it?"

"Nasty" Ryley said shaking her head

"That's what u get for begging for some" Ryley said laughing

The two laughed together and ended up looking in each other's eyes. Ryley wanted to lean in for a kiss, but she decided to continue the conversation instead.

"So did u like the movie? Or what little of it you saw?" Ryley said smiling

"I guess, I like this better though" Liv said smiling

"Oh really?"

"Of course. Your lap is comfortable"

"Well we can go somewhere more comfortable"

"OK"

Ryley led Liv to her bedroom and they both laid down on the bed on top of the covers. They laid on their sides facing each other.

"How was your day?" Ryley asked

"Ummm...it was ok I guess"

"Just ok? What's wrong?"

"Nothing"

"Please tell me hun. I can tell you're upset" Ryley said as she grabbed her hands

Liv closed her eyes and took a deep breath "It's my... my...co-worker"

"What's wrong with your co-worker?"

"Well she...she... I don't think she likes me. She's homophobic and she says she's not, but I know she is... and the stuff she says about me behind my back and... and... the way she talks to me.." Liv said as she started to cry

"I'm so sorry Liv" Ryley said as she pulled her closer to hold her. Liv started to calm down and settled into the hug

"It's ok babe. Do you want to talk about it?"

Liv ended up spending the night. It wasn't on purpose, but we kept talking and she fell asleep again. I feel so bad that she's going through so much at work. She's so nice and cute how could anyone hurt her with words or be mean to her. I want to hurt her stupid ass co-worker. I care about this girl. If she wanted me to do something about it I would- easily! I feel so protective of her. She's my little angel. After she told me about her co-worker she cried for a while then she fell asleep while I was holding her. When she woke up she said she felt much better. She said she was happy to have me in her life. I held her close and we talked more before she decided to leave. I felt weird. I didn't want her to leave. I wanted her to stay and cuddle more.
