"Come on Sofia, wake up!" Matty shouted as he shook me awake but it was 6 in the morning and I wasn't about to wake up early so he could start his senior year as soon as possible. I smacked him away and hid under my cushions but he threw my duvet on the floor and I groggily got out of bed to get ready for school. Kylie would be here to pick me up in an hour and a half, so I took a quick shower and did my makeup as naturally as I could even though I'd been used to plastering it on all summer and brushed my silky blonde hair into a side parting. I went through my closet and found my uniform, a blue plaid skirt and a white polo shirt with a blue and yellow striped tie. My new and larger boobs didn't fit in the shirt done up all the way so I left the top two buttons undone and grabbed a banana for breakfast and picked up a bottle of water from the fridge.

Kylie was parked outside and she honked the horn just as I was coming outside and she squealed excitedly when I got into the front seat of her black Range Rover and set my bag down on the back seat next to hers. She was also wearing the uniform and had her short black hair in a side part and wore as much makeup as the school allowed for juniors, just like me. "This is gonna be so bad, but we're in the same classes so I'll live" she smiled and I laughed. She started driving us to school and she had some rap music playing quietly through the stereo system on her car.

"Apart from Spanish" I reminded and she pouted

"I can't believe you literally get to do Spanish with the seniors. Just cause your mom's Spanish" she said. My mom was Mexican, but she was fluent in Spanish and I was raised bilingual so I'd always been taught with the class that was a year older than us so I could focus on other finals when I got to the senior year.

"I'm sorry that I was born with the language already in my brain" I laughed

"You should be, it's absolutely unacceptable" she said "Mexican filth"

"Ok, chill. Now it's just getting racist" I said

"Okay daddy issues" she winked and I rolled my eyes.

We got to school and everyone seemed excited to see us, my friend Bella hugged me and almost messed up my hair, but I pulled away before she could do that. "I've missed you!" She squealed as we walked to homeroom.

"You too babe, how was Greece?"

"It was so good, I got such a brown tan" she said "how was Mexico?"

"Boring" I said. I'd stayed with my grandparents for a few weeks at the beginning of summer and I'd been bored the whole time because my family weren't interesting at all, except me and Matty. Matty was only really nice to me when no one else was there, but I guess that was because he wanted to seem cool in front of people, just a typical teenage boy.

Kylie and I were the only ones in the same homeroom and we sat together at the back of the room and talked about how crappy school was and how shitty the people there were until a teacher walked in. "Hello, I'll be your homeroom teacher, my name is Miss Jensen" she said and wrote her name on the board "so first I'll be giving you all a duty to do every homeroom, and you must do it or you will be in detention" I groaned loudly and everyone sniggered. I wasn't your typical badass, I was just an outspoken bitch in school and everyone loved it because it was so entertaining compared to the boring daily routine of school. "Do you have a problem, Miss?" She snapped "what's your name?"

"Sofia Healy" I said smugly

"I taught your brother English last year. He was a nightmare, I hope for your sake that it doesn't run in the family" she said

"So do I. You'll have to clear your evenings otherwise" I said

"Go and wait outside!" She shouted
