City Of A Thousand Suns

Prologue

         Things really have gone to crap haven't they. How could we let it get this bad? I was lost in my thoughts as I watch my team frantically make the final adjustments to The Forge our soon to be new home.
"Miss Wolfe, we need your assistance with some final calibrations to the oxygen system." A younger man by the name of stephen called.
  
       I rush over to the tech sector. And begin to enter the correct calibrations

"Attention everyone!" I announced to the team.  Everyone turns to look at me I grin wide.

"We have finally finished the greatest project to ever be taken on by the world government. Each and every one of you contributed to this amazing feat, and I just want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Now may I present The Forge!"

Everyone cheered, with triumphant smiles on their faces.

I held my hand up to quiet everyone down. Everyone looks my way. I frown.

"But this is not the end. The Forge will not last long it's to unstable and we do not have enough time to get it perfect.  So before we run out of time in The Forge, the best scientists among you will be helping me find a habitable planet and or intelligent life that will be willing to help us. This is why we must teach our children to never make the same mistake we made. But until then we must make final preparations."

       Soon the government was hauling all of the remaining humans into the forge. The people were in awe at the magnificence of the structure. And since the remaining humans come from all different parts of the planet. The best liungists created a new language that merges the remaing laungages. First the teacher were taught the laungage and then the teachers taught their students. And soon this new laungages was known by all. This laungages is called terran.

We were all United by a dire situation. To bad the apacalypse is what it took.
