The Way The Heart Aches

John POV

I sat there in bed, wondering why i set my alarm for 5:00 in the morning.
Oh great! School today!
I jumped out of my bed, grabbing an old, dry towel from the top of the door. I ran to the bathroom, trying not to wake anyone up.

I started the shower, and took off my dirty night-wear. I stepped in, feeling my muscles relax under the hot water. I cleaned as fast as i could, and dried off, brushing my teeth before I walked out.
I ran to my room to get dressed. Throwing on a plain blue shirt, some black skinny-jeans, and my favorite gray hoodie, I then ran downstairs to make breakfast, to find my mother already up, cooking eggs and bacon for me.
"Good morning sweetie!" My mother said as i came to sit down. I hated it when she called me that!
"I told you not to call me that!" I snapped, unintentionally.
"I am your mother, remember?" She said back without even turning around.
"Yes ma'am" I said, kinda sadly. Let me explain, it's a long story.....

Annabelle POV

I woke up, feeling slightly better, but not much. I slowly lifted the lid of my capsule in the main orphanage.
Oh great, today is school! Amazing! Now I get to be bullied by even more people about my acne, shortness, and everything else wrong with me!
"Annabelle, are you awake yet?" My caretaker, Ms. Judy asked peacefully.
"Yes, barely." I said softly, slowly climbing out of my capsule.
I got dressed and ready for school. I walked out of my little room to Ms. J.
"Oh, Anna, you can't wear that!" She said, looking at my ripped shirt and pants.
"Follow me!" She said, leading me to a part of the orphanage I didn't even know existed. We walked through a maze of halls and rooms before coming to a stop In front of a large door.
She led me into a giant room, with new clothes from the roof to the floor!
"Take anything you want!" Ms. J said, motioning me into the room.
I'm actually going to get nice clothes!
I though as I ran inside, locking eyes with a grey hoodie. I suddenly forgot about all the worries about school. This is going to be an amazing day......
