"Vulnerability"
A girl and a boy stand face to face, but can't look eye to eye. The room is heavy and dark. Nothing but the faint sound of her breath leaves past her lips. The boy is silent. The girl is distressed.
The hidden emotions are this-
the girl is at peace.
the boy is in pieces.
She wants to scream, she wants to cry. She doesn't. She chooses to stand by, waiting.
Waiting.
Waiting.
Finally.
He breaks.
The boy takes a couple of steps towards her, but as soon as she looks him in the eye, he falls to his knees. His arms wrap around her, and his face is pressed against her stomach as he tries to breathe.
They make no sound. Nothing is heard but the comfort of her fingers through his hair.
