Silent Night

Chapter One

Violet

It was a quite night, I was sitting on the roof of my parents house on a blanket, laying down looking at the night sky.

It was beautiful, stars twinkling, a full moon lighting up the night sky. A once a month kind of thing.

The last night of summer and I was up on my parents roof, know wonder I had no friends. While everyone else was partying I was staring at the moon.

I just felt like the moon talked to me, not literally but in a way to tell me that life was going to be okay, no matter what happend.

Tomorrow was the first day, of my last day of school. I had mixed feeling over it though.

I was happy cause I was going to be out of high school in about 7 months.

Scared cause I never made any friend, never had a boyfriend, lived my high school life, but not really living it.

"Violet, where are you?" I heard my mom call from my open bed room window three feet below me.

"On the roof mom." I called slowly moving to get back through the open window.

"Violet, you know I dont like when you go up there. Why do you keep doing it?" She asked as soon as I was back in my room.

My mom was a beauty, sure she was a little over weight, but her long brown hair, and chocolate brown eyes caught everyones attention though.

"Sorry, mom the moon was calling to me. I dont know why it happens but sometimes I just have to go out there and take in the view." I said walking over to my bed and sitting down.

"I just wish you would be move careful. Like going to the back porch and viewing it that way." She said coming closer to run her hand through my red hair, and looking into my violet-blue eyes.

Laughing softly I shook my head. "Its not the same mom. When im on the roof I feel closer to it like its covering me and the world."

Walking to my door before looking back she said, "I'll never understand that, but I will always love you." Before shurting my door and leaving me all alone with my thoughts.

"Night, mom." I wishperd staring at the door that she just closed. Tomorrow was a new day and hopefully it would start out better then the other years.
