Good To See You Again

Narrators POV.

A year after the events of the mind flayer. After three years Dustin's mum Claudia was called by her sister. She got into some trouble and needed somewhere for her daughter to stay for who knows how long.

Claudia POV.

I was happy to see my niece again, it had been four and a half years since I had last seen her, I wonder if she will be happy to see me and Dusty. I was excited to tell dusty that he was going to be able to see his cousin again, they used to be best friends, like a tag team. I decided to tell Dusty now, I carefully moved Tews off of my lap and headed down the hall. Once I got to his room I could hear him and others laughing, I put my hand up to the door and knocked lightly.
" Hey Dusty can I come in?" I asked
"yeah sure mom, come in." he replied, as I opened the door I saw him sitting on the floor with Steve and Robin and they were surrounded by radio parts and walkies.
"hey so Dusty do you remember Y/N?" I questioned, "Umm yeah my cousin Y/N with h/c?"
"Yeah"
"well of course I do, why, omg did she die?" he exclaimed,
"what no she's coming to stay with us."
"Ohh cool... when is she coming?"
"Today I think she's been on the road heading here." I replied unsure.
"ok well tell me when she gets here."
"alright will do Dusty." and with that, I went back to the living room.

Dustin POV.                                                                                                                                                                              
I turned back to Steve and Robin and they were just staring at me
"what"
"so, who's this Y/N and will we like her?" Robin questioned,
"She's my cousin and I don't know if you guys will like her, I haven't seen her in like four years or so and people change so I don't know." I said sounding a bit sad,
"well then we are all meeting a new person today huh."Steve said comfortingly. I smiled and nodded in agreeance.

time skip 4 pm

Y/n POV.

I had been on the road for like two hours and I was ready to be there already, I was tired from being in the car for so long. My butt hurt. As we passed a seven eleven and a welcome to Hawkins, Indiana. There was a bit of nostalgia being in this town again it's been so long I don't know if anyone will remember me. This was a pretty cool town there was a arcade and comic book store and cute diner. After pulling onto some streets I saw aunties house in the distance. We pulled into the driveway and my driver got out my bags and drums from the back as I stretched, I helped him with the last few things and then thanked him for his help with everything. I watched as he pulled out of the driveway and waved. Once he was gone I made my way to front door. I knocked once but I figured it was to quiet because I could hear the tv, so I knocked once more and this time it kinda hurt my knuckles. I took a step back waited as I heard the tv stop, and then the door swung open revealing auntie Claudia. She gave me a warm smile and pulled me into a tight hug, to which I hugged back.

"Oh my gosh it's so good to you again y/n, I'm so sorry about your mother" auntie said with a bit of sadness in her voice.
"It's good to see you too, I've missed you and don't be, there's nothing you could do about it" I reply
"Dusty is very excited to see you but let me show you where your going to be staying first"
She took me past the living room to the back of the house to what I guess is the guest room that is now my bedroom. As I looked around there was a was a closet, a shelf built into the wall and a huge glass sliding door that showed the woods outside the back of the house where you could see the vibrant colors of the sunset. I set my bags down and turned around "should I brings my drum set in here or..." I was unsure,
"ohh yes we can put those in the garage" as we made our way to the living room and past the kitchen but there was movement in there.
"ohh y/n meet Steve and Robin, and of course you already know Dusty."
"Oh uhh hi nice to meet you two and good to see ya Dust" I was definitely not expecting to meet people today,
"nice to meet you too" Robin and Steve said Simultaneously, Dustin ran up and gave me hug. "good to see you too y/n" as we stop hugging I turn to auntie,
"can we take my drums into the garage now, I don't want it to get to dark"
"yes yes come on" auntie and I went out side and began to move my set but then Steve came out and helped us and there was an uncomfortable silence, I look over to him
"Umm thank you"
"yeah sure" he's just like any other guy, he didn't seem to care. It took me just under a hour to put together my drum set but I was finally done, I stood up and walked to the front door where I saw Dustin saying his goodbyes to Steve and Robin. As they walked to their car I waved once they had pull out I turned to go inside
"Y/n, it's good to see you again"
" it's good to see you too Dust" I went inside and finally got some dinner.
