Gising pa ang daddy ni Caryl kaya narinig nito ang ingay mula sa labas. Kaya bumangon ito at nagmadaling lumabas. "Anong kaguluhan ito?" tanong ni John. "Dad" sabi niya at agad na lumapit rito.
"Tito, yang isang yan ang may kasalanan. Ginulo niya kami ni Caryl" sumbong ni Brett.
"No, he just attacked me with no reasons" pagdedepensa ni Zayn sa sarili. Pano kasi di nito alam na ipinagtapat na ni Caryl kay Brett ang totoo.
"Young gentlemen, you're old enough now to handle situations in a mature way. Kung ano man ang misunderstandings niyo, talk about it. So, act at your age and stop being childish" pangaral ng daddy niya. "Yes Sir" magalang na sagot ni Zayn.
"Gabi na, umuwi na kayo" taboy ni John sa dalawa. "Uuwi na po ako tito" sabi ni Brett at tiningnan lang si Caryl bago umalis. Pagkasakay nito sa kotse agad iyong pinaharurot.
Lumapit na si Zayn sa kanila. "I'm sorry Sir for causing this trouble" magalang na sabi ni Zayn.
"It's fine. The damage has been done"at tinapik sa balikat si Zayn. "I have to go now" paalam ni Zayn at tinanguan siya. Lumakad na ito papunta sa SLK-class mercedes benz nito.
"Dad, can I talk to him for a while?" she really feels the urge to talk to him. "Ok, be quick" bilin pa nito at pumasok na sa loob.
"Zayn!" tawag niya rito. Papasok na ito sa kotse.
Lumingon ito sa kanya at isinarang muli ang pinto. Sumandal ito sa kotse. "Sorry for what Brett did to you" she really feels sorry for it.
At that time, she wants to hug and comfort him but she controlled herself.
"What's wrong with him? Why did he attacked me? Zayn wondered. "Duh, Zayn....I know you know the reason why he did that" and rolled her eyes.
"He's jealous of me?" he grinned. "Lose that grin Zayn" inis na sabi niya. "Is there something you want me to tell?" tanong nito. "Nothing" at tumalikod para umalis na. "Now's not the right time" isip ni Caryl.
Nang bigla na lang yumakap si Zayn sa kanya mula sa likod. "Always remember, I won't give up on you even if it will risk my life. I love you so much" she can really feel his sincerity.
She closed her eyes and she felt that he kissed her on her temple. "I'll go now. Have a sweet night love" at pinakawalan na siya.
Nakaalis na si Zayn but she's still nailed on the spot where she's standing. "Caryl, pasok na" tawag ng papa niya.
Bumalik pala ito. Natauhan siya bigla sa pagtawag ng kanyang ama. "Yes dad" at dali-daling pumasok.
Kinabukasan sa office niya, di siya makapag concentrate. She's so bothered about what happened last night. Her mind is preoccupied by wondering thoughts about what she did. If it was right or wrong. Her wondering thoughts was interrupted when Brett suddenly stormed in her office. He looks calm now.
"Can we talk?" he said in a low tone voice. "Sure, sit down" sabi niya.
Naupo ito sa harap ng table. She look at him. His lips were swollen and his jaw got a bruise.
"About what you said last night" he said in a calm voice. "Maybe you're just confused. So, I'm giving you some space" sabi ni Brett.
"Brett, I'm not confused. I'm sorry but I made sure of it days ago" prangkang sabi niya. Ayaw na niyang umasa pa si Brett. "Ganun na lang ba yun? In a snap, you'll just throw away those years we've shared" puno ng hinanakit na sabi ni Brett. "I'm sorry. If you really love me, you'll let me go and and let me be with the one I love. Please" pakiusap niya.
He gave a long deep sigh.
"If that would make you happy, I'll let you go. Just always think that I let you go not because I gave up on us but to make you happy even if it is too painful for me" sabi ni Brett at hinawakan ang kamay niya at bahagyang pinisil iyon. "Thank you so much Brett" tumayo siya at niyakap si Brett.
"I just wish that you'll be happy with him forever" sabi nito at pilit na ngumiti. Kumalas ito sa pagkakayakap niya. Tears started to flow down to her cheeks.
Tumayo si Brett at ikinulong sa mga palad ang mukha niya. "Don't cry. I hate it whenever I see you cry" may bahid ng pag-aalala na sabi nito.
"I'm just happy" pinahid niya ang mga luha at ngumiti. "You should be" and they hug eachother for the last time before saying goodbye.
Pagkatapos ng closure nila ni Brett parang nawala na ang mabigat na dinadala niya sa kanyang dibdib.
Kinagabihan habang nagdi-dinner, ipinagtapat niya sa ama ang nangyari sa kanila ni Brett kanina.
"Naging maayos naman po ang paghihiwalay namin" sabi niya sa ama. "Mabuti kung ganun. Sana maging masaya ka sa desisyon mo" sabi ni John sa anak. Tumango siya at ipinagpatuloy ang pagkain.
Nasa terrace siya ng kwarto niya at tinatawagan niya si Sam. "Hello girl, napatawag ka?" bungad ni Sam sa kabilang linya. "I just want you to know about Brett and me" pambibitin niya.
"What about the two of you?" takang tanong ni Sam. "We broke up" sabi niya.
"What?!" sigaw nito sa kabilang linya kaya bahagya niyang inilayo sa tenga ang phone niya. "We talked this morning and decided to end up our relationship. No let me correct, I broke up with him" sabi niya. "Pumayag siya agad?" tanong ni Sam.
"Nope, but I asked him to let go of me and he as a gentleman, he did" sagot niya.
"Wish you all the luck. Alam ko naman kung bakit ka nakipag break kay Brett. I have to hang up now, Niall is calling on the 2nd line. Bye" nagmamadali nitong sabi. Ni hindi na siya nakasagot pa dahil nag hang up na ito. "Haay, si Sam talaga" aniya sa sarili.
Papasok na sana siya ng makita niyang paparating ang isang SLK-class na mercedes benz. Alam niyang si Zayn iyon.
Napangiti siya nang makita niyang bumaba si Zayn mula sa kotse na may dala-dalang gitara. Mukhang alam na niya ang gagawin nito.
