12. The Accident...(Finale)

Gundham's POV
It was an average day.
Kazuichi's business was going well.
The clock struck 10 and it was closing time.
Kazuichi left the workshop and I stayed behind because I wanted to do something special...
I wanted to keep a commitment with Kazuichi...
I wanted to propose to him...
As soon as Kazuichi left, I got straight to decorating the workshop.
I placed candles everywhere.
Put flower pedals in a pathway.
I stayed overnight and waited patiently for Kazuichi to come back the next morning.
The clock struck 6.
I lit up the candles and walked away...
A candle fell down and lit up the flower pedals.
I came back and saw the fire growing bigger slowly.
I tried to stop the fire.
But the fire got too big.
I tried to escape but the exits were covered with fire.
I panicked and ran under a car lift.
Not paying attention behind me, I hit a button and the car lift quickly dropped on my head.
I fell unconscious and slowly suffered on the smoke entering my lungs.
Souda's POV
It was 9 o'clock and I was late to the workshop.
When I got there, shock filled my face and I exited my car.
The sounds of fire trucks and Police sirens.
I ran to the workshop, ignoring anyone who tried to stop me.
then I saw it....
Gundham's corpse.
He wasn't burned but covered in smoke and pressed under a car lift..
I backed into a wall and slid down crying.
The love of my life....was dead.....
The police got me out of the building and tried to calm me down, but the trama rushing through my head wouldn't stop.
Why couldn't I have been the one to die....
Why did it have to be him...
I tried to call Sonia and Hajime to see if they would respond...
But they ignored me. Blocked me out of their lives.
Not even Nagito would call.
No one cared...
One month later
I was sick and tired of living like this...without Gundham....without my only friends...
So I did what I had to do.....
The daily news report
30 year old Mechanic Kazuichi Souda has committed Suicide today.
He was found hanging by the neck in his house.
He had cuts on his arms with the name of his dead Spouse,
Gundham Tanaka.
