follow the trials and tribulations of four lost teens.

Channeling her inner thirteen-year-old-fangirl Jess uses the closest thing (Zion's cellphone – much to his displeasure) as a make-shift mic. "I know you love me, I know you care," she shrieks, pointing to Loren. Zion cringes, so close to disowning his friends he can almost taste the freedom it would bring. His girlfriend, Bailey, pays him no mind, cheering on the singing sixteen-year-old from her spot beside him.
Expression hopeful, Jess waits for Loren to continue, the hand holding her 'microphone' extended expectantly. After a drawn-out moment, Loren rolls her eyes and stands, taking Zion's phone. "Just shout whenever and I'll be there."
As if on queue, there's a thud then a voice shouts, "I have to restart my potatoes!"
They all freeze before everyone is rushing to the kitchen to check on Dan. Loren, who's the first to arrive, is barely able to keep her jaw from dropping dramatically. There's a red sauce dripping from the ceiling on to the counter, a good amount of it smeared across Dan's neck for an unknown reason. Said teen sits in the middle of the kitchen floor, staring dejectedly at a overturned bowl of off-white, watery mush. On the stove, pots (yes, plural) rumble excitedly for their chance to bowl over.
"Jesus Christ." Jess gasps, inspecting all the damage done to Bailey's kitchen.
It was the last day of summer break and Dan had decided to reward them with a meal (everyone loved his cooking). They'd just needed a location and with Bailey's parents out for the night it had been an easy choice.
Zion peeks in, eyes scanning over the mess. He snickers while turning to his girlfriend. She looks utterly – well, Zion can't put a name to it. She's just somewhere in between dismissing everyone passive-aggressively and absolutely terrified.
Zion decides to play with fire.
"Zionks," he whispers into her ear, Dan in the background, whining continuously about his ruined mashed potatoes.
