Chapter 1: Exposition and More, and by More I mean More Exposition

*1st Person View*

Uh, hey there... buddy? Ah, forget it. I'm (Y/N), and I can't think of a better introduction. I'm right now traveling to Beach City from (Your Town), due to some... complications.

Flashback to 2 days ago

My family was in the hospital after they were eating my own cooked food.

"And that is why I shouldn't cook!" I mentioned to the doctors.

One doctor sighed. "Look, kid, your family is currently under a coma. They'll be fine, but they'll have to stay here for a long time."

Flash forward

Apparently there's this thing called a "chemical inbalance" and my food induced a coma with it. Whatever. My Uncle, Greg Universe had to pick me up, 'cause my family is in no condition to look after me! We didn't talk at all at that moment, because I was goofing on my phone.

"(Y/N)... it's gonna be awhile, so, how about instead of using your phone you talk to your Uncle!"

"Ok I guess." I turned my phone off. "So, I heard you had a son named Steven, can you tell me more about him?"

"Steven? Oh, he's the nicest schnooball you'd ever meet!" Greg replied to me.

I wondered about Greg's Wife, if he even had one.

"Hey Uncle Greg? Did you ever have a wife?"

"Oh... I only you could've met Rose." Greg replied.

I pondered what he meant. "Why? Is she... dead?"

Greg looked troubled. "It's hard to explain at the moment, but maybe it'll be easier to explain once you meet the Crystal Gems!"

"The Crystal what now?" I asked back.

"Ah, just wait until we get there!"

And so I waited until we got there.

And Prologue done! Any first impressions? I hope I can make this book longer than my previous two books and without a terrible ending.
