"Daddy" I said.
"Yes, honey?" he said.
"Can we get a pet?" I asked.
"Of course, would you like a turtle?"
"No"
"A dog?"
"No"
"A hamster?"
"No" I said trying to think of an animal that I would like.
"I have an-" dad said but before he could finish I exclaimed: "A WOLF"!!!!!!!
I mean of course a 8 year old girl would want a wolf for a pet.
"Ava, wolves are bad, ferocious, and dangerous you are NOT going to have one as a pet". As dad said that I knew he didn't like wolves. I don't get it, why didn't he like wolves?
"We'll talk about this tomorrow, now just sleep and tomorrow will be a great day, Good night honey". He said.
"Good night daddy".
All night I kept thinking about wolves, and I tried to understand dad and why he didn't like them. As I stood up to go get a drink, I could hear something from outside.
It was gunshots.
But I knew I was safe with my dad, and the gunshots must have been something else. So I just tried to fall asleep. A few minutes later there was thunder and lightning, the fear that I had was slapping me in the face. Then I figured it was a dream, a nightmare. I couldn't wake up.
Then suddenly in my dream there were gunshots too, they were getting louder. I could hear men screaming. I was petrified. What was happening?
Who were those men?
Who were they firing at?
All those questions were jumping in my head. I was frozen to the core. When suddenly there was a loud bang.
Then there was silent.
It was done! The predators that were hunting the prey had won.
"NOOOOO" Suddenly I woke up.
I ran downstairs trying to think that the dream will never happen in real life.
But to everyone's horror my dream came true.............
