My First Visit

My first visit to the Avengers compound was....awkward to say the least. It had been a couple months after Mr. Stark had offered to make me an Avenger so everything was still kind of shaky between Steve and Mr. Stark.

I walked into the compound with Happy, who had picked me up from school. The only thing he had told me was that Mr. Stark wanted to see me. Of course, I still sent Happy my messages and I had recently found some alien weapons that had been left over from the whole Vulture situation so I figured that that's what it was about.

Little did I know that I was very wrong about that. Anyway, as I was walking in I heard the familiar voice of Friday say, "Welcome back, Mr. Parker".  Just then Mr. Stark walked up to us.

"Hey Kid, how you've been? Still up to the whole..." he made a waving gesture with his hand, "Spider-Maning I see"

"Yeah, I'm good. And yes I'm still up to the whole..." I made a waving gesture with my hand, "Spider-Maning" I laughed. Mr. Stark gave me a soft smile that told me he was amused by my imitation of him.

"You're too much sometimes, Kid. Listen I got some people I want you to meet" I raised my eyebrows at him in questioning, "Don't be intimidated by them. They look all brooding but really they're just a bunch of softies"

That made me even more confused but nevertheless, I followed Mr. Stark to wherever he was taking me with Happy a few feet behind us. He opened a door and we walked in. At first I didn't notice anything special until I heard

          "Who's this?"

I whipped around to see the one and only Hawkeye. Keep your cool Peter. Don't act like a weirdo in front of Hawkeye. Oh my god Hawkeye is asking about me. OH MY GOD. My thoughts were interrupted by the rest of the Avengers walking into the room.

I watched as Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Black Widow, Thor, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Bucky Barnes, War Machine, Falcon, Ant-Man, Princess Shuri, King T'Challa and even Loki (Sorry if I forgot anyone) entered the room. Mr. Stark then introduced me to everyone.

"This is Peter Parker but he could also be known as Spider-Man from time to time" I stiffened, It's okay that he told them that, right? I mean it's the Avengers there's no way I can't trust them. Most of them seem surprised that I was so young. I rubbed the back of my neck nervously, it's a bit of a habit that I had developed a few years ago. Steve was the first to walk up to me. He held out his hand for me to shake.

"We've heard a lot about you. It's nice to meet you" I hesitantly shook his hand as he said this.

"Uh, I'm sorry about stealing your shield?" Now, I have no idea why but to him that seemed funny and he began to laugh. The tension in the room was broken and everyone else came up to greet me. I'm not going to lie, there were a few moments when I freaked out a bit because holy shit I'm talking to Bruce Banner right now.

It had been a few months since that day and the Avengers and I have definitely warmed up to each other. Mr. Stark, Bruce and I liked to talk about science together and we have gotten really close with each other.  Steve was like a mom sometimes, like when he scolds us for cursing even though he does it all the time. Nat was like a really bad ass version of Aunt May. She even taught me how to fight sometimes but in reality I could tell she cared about me.  Thor, quite ironically, was like a little sibling because he was so easy to fool. I once convinced him that every time he throws his hammer he should say "yeet!".

Yeah, Mr. Stark put an end to that.

Vision was like an uncle to me. He would always remind me of things I would've forgotten about if it weren't for him. One time I spent days on a project and almost forgot to bring it in the day it was due. If it weren't for Vision I would've dropped an entire letter grade. Wanda was like an older sister to me. Mostly because if I need to talk to someone I know I can count on her because I know that she'll understand me. Bucky, Sam and Scott are like the annoying older brothers who bother me all the time. But like any brother, there are moments when we get along that show me that they do care. Mr. Stark and T'Challa are like protective parents whenever Shuri, Loki and I hang out together because we are always causing so much havoc together. Like the time we used real life light sabers that Shuri made to cosplay our favorite characters, we also made a replica of the Death Star (mini obviously). Clint is a child.

I try to visit them as often as I can but sometimes not everyone will be there and other times and I just want to make time for May and my friends because they are so important to me (Or I'm swinging through Queens on patrol). Nevertheless, I love my superhero family.

That is, until I had to go on a field trip.

                                                                           PLEASE READ!!!

Hey everyone! This is my first story and I decided that I'm going to use the field trip plot. I though I'd change it up a bit. There's not going to be a lot of Flash and there won't be the typical thing with the teacher being an ass to Peter.

Also what do you think of Steve's initial reaction to Peter? I feel like he wouldn't be angry about Tony bringing Peter into a fight because he always used to be looking for one pre-serum.

Anyway I know this chapter is kind of short but I kind of just wanted to establish relationships before I got into the main plot. I'll try to update every few days but I like to take my time when I write.

Please leave your thoughts in the comments!!!
