Ziyir McCray wakes up to the sound of his dad pounding on his door telling him to get up. "Ziyir! Get up now! You don't wanna be late for your first day man" His dad (Marvin McCray) said. Ziyir gets up and does his morning routine. Ziyir was a little nervous to go to a new school. He didn't know anyone from that school and it was already the second week of school. He thought everyone already formed their cliques and everything, even though he had the best personality, he didn't know for sure how the people at Ridgeway High were gonna be. Ziyir is openly gay, but his parents forces themselves to not believe he's gay, they stay asking him when is he gonna get a girlfriend or is he gonna have a wife in the future. Ziyir has an older brother name Zyree, Zyree (17) Is very overprotective with Ziyir considering his sexuality. "Well hey babies.. Good morning, it's time to roll on out huh" Their mom (Alicia McCray) said. "Ma, the school like 3 minutes away if we drive let us just drive our car today" Zyree said. "Ever since y'all got a car together you boys act like you're too good to ride with mama" Alicia said. They all laugh. "Now Zyree... The school is also a 10 minute walk from there to home... We better not have this skipping school issue again I can't have people calling my shop telling me you're not at school. But hey who knows this is a new school they might not even care" Alicia said. "Mama mama.. I know bruh, I got this" Zyree said. Alicia is a minister, Marvin is a pastor. So the brothers always grew up in church, but didn't live the church lifestyle. Now, let's get this school year started.
  Ziyir and Zyree pull up to the school, Zyree turns the car off. "Aye bro... Look, this a new school ight? We don't know how these muthafuckas roll ight? Now I know you got them hands but look, don't be trynna fight everybody ight? Nigga we in Compton.. These niggas not afraid to take a nigga life, especially with the lifestyle you living they ain't afraid, somebody try fuckin with you lemme know.. Ight lil bro?" Zyree said. "Zyree.. You know and I know i've never had to deal with homophobia, all of my friends are straight I got this, listen, I got a life too okay?... I understand you're playing your role as a big brother and I love that but... I got it okay?.. Love you" Ziyir said.
They do their handshake and get out. They walk in school, it was so many people! Packed! It seemed like everyone knew Zyree.

"Aye my nigga Zyree what's good bro?"

Two of Zyree friends walked up to them.
"Ayo what's good bro"
"What's happening ghee... Aye this my lil brother Ziyir" Zyree said
"Oh ight what's good"
"Heyy" Ziyir said.
"Aye but my coach said holla at him at the end of the day so y'all can talk and shit"
"Ight broski... Well we finna go to class so i'll holla atchu later" Zyree said.
Ziyir walks into his class.
"Well Hello there! You must be?" The teacher Ms.Cobbs asked.
"I'm Ziyir, Ziyir McCray"
"You look familiar.. Your dad is Marvin McCray right?" She asked
"Yes ma'am" Ziyir said
"Whew child yo daddy can preach that word!.. Go ahead and and take a sit boo, class this is Ziyir.. Please treat him like you do your peers, we're gonna treat him with respect and treat him how we would wanna be treated!" Ms.Cobbs said to the class.
"Well Ziyir take a seat anywhere you would like" Ms.Cobbs said.
Ziyir sat at the back with 4 other girls.
"You got some pretty ass hair" One girl said.
"Thanks!" Ziyir said smiling.
"I'm Armani" She said.
"I'm Monique" Another girl said
"I'm Fedria" Said another girl
"I'm Brax" Another girl said.
"Nice to meet y'all" Ziyir said.
Ziyir turned around in his desk looking forward and then a guy walks in. The dude was brown skinned, had a durag on. The guy was at least 6 ft, and Ziyir took interest quick. He felt like it was love at first sight.
"Who's that?" Ziyir asked Brax
"Oh him? That's Tae, he fine ain't he?" Brax said
"Girl yes" Ziyir said
"Well he been single for a while he claim he don't want nobody but who knows girl, he play varsity football" Armani said
"Do you girls cheer?" Ziyir asked
"Yes all four of us are on varsity, you should try out... We looking for more people we'll tell our coach about you" Fedria said
"Thank you! I'm interested" Ziyir said
Ziyir wanted to get close to Tae, he felt like it was a must, he had to get on that team, he just had to. But, this is just the beginning.
