once caroline had arrived back at the hawkins laboratory, she found herself in the control room, dr owens and jim hopper to her left
she stood at the glass as jim hopper pressed his hands to barrier, a demodog climbing up from the hub and staring through the glass
"holy shit!" caroline stammered, a demodog tilting its head to look at her
"mother of god" dr owens said, his eyes fixated onto the creature
the creature climbed onto the barrier, softly growling as hopper moved his head closer to the glass, the demodog breathing heavily.
once hopper was face to face with the demodog, it snarled before pounding its head into the glass. the demodogs slime creating a blur as it continually slammed into the glass
"it's polycarbonate. it can't get through" dr owens stuttered, seconds before the demodog howled, summoning more of the creatures to break through the glass
"mother mary and joseph" one of the doctors gasped, everyone in the control room watching intensely as the demodogs rose from the abyss below the laboratory
every one of the creatures began to pound into the glass, and quickly, it started to crack
"you sure about that glass?" hopper remarked, unable to move as the glass began to shatter.
dr owens turned his head, a frightening look plastered onto his face before his left hand met the botton which sent a beeping noise of warning throughout the lab
caroline stumbled as she took a step back. the group inside the control room quickly realized the glass was seconds away from shattering, and nobody had evacuated.
"caroline! let's go!" hopper yelled, grabbing her arm and lightly pulling her towards the door to the control room
every doctor inside the room began to frantically exit, hopper slamming the sealed door once everyone had made it out. while each person began to run, caroline listened in to the glass breaking, hearing it shatter before dr owens pulled her towards an exit
"we've got to get to will!" caroline yelled, dr owens stopping in his tracks as the crew ran towards the elevator.
"we need the fastest way, doc" hopper stammered, keeping caroline close in his reach to protect the young girl.
"stairs! stairs!" dr owens screamed, pointing to a door and leading caroline and hopper to a possible safety.
caroline ran quickly between the two men, hearing the screams of the workers as the demodogs escaped the control room and leapt into the closing elevator.
caroline gasped before shutting off her hearing, knowing every person inside the elevator was dying a terrible death.
she ran as she did the day she escaped dr brenner, her hair flowing back and her eyes growing wider by the second. nobody knew their fate, all they could do was make it back to will's hospital room and warn the byers family.

jim hopper slammed the door to will's room open, joyce and bob standing above the boy as joyce held the sedative in her right hand. caroline looked at mike, grabbing his left hand before hopper began to give orders to the group
