She laid on the ground.
On the freshly dug soil that buried multiple corpses of different generations. Where the rest of humanity had been reduced to their very beginning points, the elements.
Her hand dug into the mud as she crumbled it between her finger tips and she escaped into her thoughts.
Now, it wasn't always that she picked the lock in the cemetery gates and climbed over the barbed wire whilst shielding herself from the cameras.
No, this was only for the rare occasions. And a rare occasion it had been.
Maybe they'd notice in the morning, maybe not. She'd bet that they wouldn't. The current caretaker was almost completely useless at technology making her James Bond impression almost completely useless too but at least she had felt like a bad ass.
As bad ass as you could feel while wearing one sock, a hoodie with a broken zipper, and no shoes. But what else was she supposed to do.
She had no family anymore, only the cute worker at Oblivion, but she was sure he'd go too, they all went.
Now, she wasn't just assuming that he'd follow the same path of ignorance and that she'd escape from his memories soon enough. This was a certain fact.
What else could you do when the FBI was hunting you down?
