Michael: 2:00 pm, right on time as usual. She would come in here, order her usual, an espresso, I would serve it to her when it's done. As I hand it to her, I see her beautiful face. From the distance, I see her smile as she's deeply into reading her novel. She sits at her usual corner without letting anyone disturb her, easy for me to notice. But we can never be together, this counter... it separates us. She is someone that I can't have, to me she's the customer, and to her, I'm her server. I can only watch from this side.
Michelle: I always go see him at work at 2:00 pm because it's never too busy then. I order my usual, an espresso, because that's what he likes to make. He puts a lot of effort into making it for me. I go sit at the corner because I get a clear view of him. I pretend to read my novel when I'm glancing over at him when he's not looking. I smile when I see him putting his effort into what he's doing. But we can never be together, that counter... separates us. He's someone I can't have; He's the server and I'm probably just another regular customer to him. It could never happen for us... I can only watch him from this corner. I wish we could though.
*Michelle walks in*
Michael: Hello, may I take your order?
Michelle: *sighs* yes, may I get an espresso?
Michael: Of course, that would be $4.19 please
*Michelle pays, but continues to look upset and frowns. A few minutes later Michael brings Michelle her espresso.
Michael: Please enjoy and take your time.
Michelle: thank you,
Michael from the distance notice her frowning and sighing, he watches her from the distance and can't do anymore to help her. But that wasn't going to stop him, as Michelle was drinking her espresso, Michael put a plate of chocolate chip cookies on her table.
Michelle: *looks surprised* I'm sorry, this must be a mistake. I didn't order this.
Michael: I know you didn't, but I got this for you. I hope you enjoy it. It just came out the oven.
Michael walks away and Michelle looks at the cookies and smiles. She notices a piece of paper by the plate which Michael wrote "Hang in there, wonderful things will happen. Like these cookies, hope you enjoy them." She smiles as she took a bite of the cookie. She then glanced over at Michael where he's already back to work.
Michael/Michelle: I really do like her/him.
At the end of the night, Michelle went over to Michael to chat with him before she leaves
Michelle: Thanks for the cookies Michael, I really like it and it boosted my mood.
Michael: *slightly blush* You know my name?
Michelle: *giggles* yeah, it's on your tag
Michael: oh (laughs too) well, you're welcome, I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Michelle: I'm Michelle by the way. So... umm, I was wondering, are you free sometime this Saturday? It's just, I wanted to know if you're interested in watching a movie with me or something.
Michael: *gasped* you mean, like on a date or something?
Michelle: *blushes* y-yeah, like a date, is that a problem for you?
Michael: *blushes back* n-no! I'll be happy to. I'll be glad to! I am 100% free this Saturday, we can meet up by the station near here. What time works for you?
Michelle: *smiles* how about noon? We can meet at the station at Noon then.
Michael: Sounds great (*smiles*) I'll see you then Michelle
