At first Hopper didn't like having a partner however you won him over by being his designated shopper. Aka picking up smokes and drinks. It was worth it because he as head sherif got the best cases. After a year he actually considered you a friend. When he went out with friends you watched his daughter eleven. All the stakeouts gave a lot of time for conversation meaning you knew everything about eleven and the demogorgon. Of course you didn't believe him at first but when suddenly Joyce and him suspects it's back you realized he was serious.
