War of Dwarves and orcs

The snow was laying upon the mountain. Some men where fishing on the frozen Esgaroth lake. The business inside the mountain is as usual. Some Dwarves where forging new armour for them and the men of Dale. While some others where trading in their workshops with some elves who came to sell their goods in Erebor. Everything was perfect in the city when suddenly a messen
ger from the iron hills came in front of king Thror

  - What news does my cousin brings to me
  - My king Thror we ask for military aid ,the third town is already fallen into enemy hands.We can't hold them for much more
 

Thror was surprised and anxious about messenger's news, as he could see the fear and exhaustion at his eyes.

<<Quickly make a warm meal and find o cozy bed for the tired  person>> the king of Erebor said to his servants

Dain the king of the iron hills was heavily wounded ,so the keen of the mountain should rush on his side as soon as possible

At the next day king Thror ordered all of his soldiers to be gathered outside Erebor's gate. There where 10.000 brave warrior-dwarves . The king of Dale, Bard offered his help by mustering 6.000 men in help of the dwarves

  - Bard I will remember your help from now on my dear friend. This moment is critical for both of us I promise that my keen will protect your city for ever

  - King Thror I have to remind you that your great grandfather is that who invited us to live near the mountain and he is the one who civilized my people many centuries ago so we own you

Both king smiled to each other and shooked their hands . Then they started walking towards the iron hills. It was a 4 days travel. When they arrived at the third town they saw many Dwarves dead on upon the other.Also you was able to see many dead orcs whose smell of decay was flourishing in the air. Thror ordered his troops to attack but in that time Bard spoke wisely and told him, that it's better to set a camp and attack at night and so they did. In the early hours of the next morning the allied forces of Men and Dwarves arranged their soldiers. Bard was set in the middle while  Thror and his son Thrain in the flanks. Then the horn of Erebor blowned in the valley and the attack begun. The orcs who where caught off guard rushed to defend their positions as many of them weren't fully prepared for battle. The allied forces entered the third town and slaughtered a huge amount of orcs. The left flank by Thrain encircled 1/3 of the army and killed them all. After the battle the town was reclaimed and Men and Dwarves celebrated their victory but they knew that more orcs will come. From the 25.000 orcs who where in the third town 21.000 of them where killed and the rest fled back to the northeast only 350 dwarves and 200 men died in the battle.

Some hours later king Dain himself appeared and told Thror that in order to defeat orcs once and forever,they should reclaim Gundabad and Moria. Thror told him that it's a difficult task to do because they are orcs rumbling in the sourinding mountains and many Dwarves will die if they attack Moria and Gundabad . Instead he proposed to recover all the lost strongholds and send messengers to the dwarves of Red mountains. Dain agreed with that idea and he could understand that there will be a war of big climax between orcs and Dwarves

The messengers where sent and so days were passing and nothing was happening but one day the orcs gathered once again at the borders of the iron hills. 80.000 evil orcs from the Grey mountains and north east. The remaining allied forces and a host of 15.000 iron hills dwarves rushed at the borders to prevent the enemy stealing land. At the noon they arrived at the battlefield and saw the giantatic orckish army. Both sides where facing each other and without much thought the orcs attacked and so the battle began. Both sides where fighting with passion and it wasn't unclear who was about to win. Unfortunately many hours later the orcs who where much more began dominating the battlefield. Dwarves and men could understand that death and defeat where upon them. Suddenly at the edge of the vale,  the combating sides could see a big line of short figures with long spears shiny armous and goats ridden by them. It was a great host of Red mountains Dwarves who responded to their friends call. Without second thought they attacked and managed to kill many orcs. At end of the day the battlefield was full of dead orcs and several dwarves has passed to the afterlife too. Bard who was severely wounded during the battle chosed wisely to withdraw his men back to Dale , moreover he had lost his half army. Thror agreed with that conclusion and wished his friend good luck on his way home. Now with only dwarves left they could focus on their target. To sum up we have 9.000 Dwarves from Erebor 12.000 dwarves of iron hills and 40.000 dwarves of the red mountains. On the opposing side we have orcs of the far East orcs of the Grey mountains and orcs of the misty mountains. After the battle the army was split in two hosts the one host would remain at the iron hills and the other would retake the lost keeps in the Grey mountains .So they agreed that the dwarves of red mountains would stay in iron hills and Dwarves of iron hills and Erebor would go to the reconques.

Months where passing and children of Aüle had a good time killing orcs all of the aggressions and defences where successful with light to several casualties . This would no count for the orcs though who had heavy casualties in each battle.

And so was the war of Dwarves and orcs  with continuous victories for the first and defeats for the second. The dwarves where so proud that they came to conclusion to attack Gundabad and Moria. Azog chieftain of the orcs new about it and he gathered his full force at Gundabad so the Khazad rushed to his
keep. The dwarves where outnumbered 1/3 and they knew that this was the final battle of the war.

  - i think we should attack later  Thror
 

  - No Dain we must attack now because orcs shall no wait us. We must crash their force once and forever,

Dain agreed with that idea and ordered his troops to set foot. Thror also put his troops in order and at last the red mountains Dwarves made a formation.
The last battle of orcs and Dwarves began, the sons of Aüle rushed to orcs's positions. The battle was hidious for many hours and both sides had decent loses

It was not clear who would win this conflict. At the end of the day the sky turned black in shadows. It was the great eagles who came in assistance of the dwarves. The eagles rumbled the orckish army and took hundreds up to their doom. The battle was won Gundabad has been reclaimed for the Khazad out of 10.000 Dwarves of Erebor there left to be 6.000 of them. From 20.000 iron hills we have 13.000 left. Only red mountains Dwarves had light casualties. So on the war of Dwarves and orcs is over the north part of middle earth will be free for several decades from orcs of whose remains vanished to Mordor. There is something about Khazad-dum it cannot be reclaimed there is an ancient evil hiding in Moria...
